The trailer does not detach. Lightning goes pretty fast, and automatically stops revving when it hits a wall. Car needed batteries, none included. Very durable and just the right size. Our children love the ramp feature and sending Lightning up and down the ramp.

I picked this up for my 2 year old son on a recent trip to Kmart. He has become OBSESSED with 'Cars', so I was looking for a cool toy to surprise him with. This look perfect. It was twenty one bucks at the store. I was SHOCKED when I saw how much it's selling for on here... almost sixty bucks, that's insane!

Anyway, my boy absolutely loves this thing. Sometimes he just plays with Mack, pushing him all over the house, other times he likes to race McQueen. It simple for kids to use...unfold the top of Macks trailer to make a ramp, shake McQueen, set him on the arrow, and push the button. The longer they shake him, the further he'll go. If your boy loves 'Cars', then I'm willing to bet he'll love this toy. Just make sure you look around for the best price though, cause it's certainly not here!

This toy is great because it is very durable! My son loves the big trucks but it is so hard to find one that he can play with and pieces don't fall off. It is a must have for any "cars" fan!

I was very surprised at the quality of this toy. Everything is well made, durable, and it even has rubber tires. When the trailer opens up, it becomes a downward ramp for the Lightning McQueen Shake and Go car to race down. Just shake the car and place it on the starting pad of the trailer which will keep it from doing anything until you press the large launch button on the trailer. Remember, it's not how hard you shake the car, but how much you shake it that makes it go further and faster. Only thing I don't like is having to chase the damn thing down everytime. BTW: Mack is not a Shake and Go vehicle.

I bought this for my son after seeing it sold out on the fisher-price web site- wasnt in stores yet- luckily as usual amazon came through. My son loves it!

This toy is so much fun! My son got it for christmas last year and I have to say it has held up nicely! It is made really well. The only complaint I have, is that Mack's semi part that folds out to make the launch ramp for McQueen comes off quite a bit. It isn't a big deal but I do have to snap it back on for my son a lot. He still plays with it after 11 months so that in itself is a huge deal. His favorite thing to do is set Mack on the couch and launch McQueen off it. McQueen gets pretty good air!!!

My child got a lot fun with this car, battery life is impressive, cause the car just run when is shacked, some times we forget turn it off for many hours with no problem. My child used to try to run the car by hand at times, this caused the trans-axle to fail, I really think that using a differential trans-axle in this car is unnecessary, cause it does not turn at all. Always it is a great toy very funny and "resistant" :) .

My 2 year old grandson absolutely loves the Cars movie and I had purchased various "shake and go" cars for him, but Mac was not available in stores. Mac was his Christmas present and he has not stopped playing with it.

My son loves racing his shake and go cars off the Mack ramp. The only down fall of this toy is that the trailer easily unhooks from cab. Other than that it is an awesome toy!
