Absolutely love this track. My kids (3 & 6) are having a great time. Very durable, track stays together perfectly. The different track layouts make this fun over and over again. I just have one complaint. This track seems to be real big on the fact that the cars are rechargeable so you don't have to keep buying batteries. I would rather buy batteries. Each car has to sit on the charger for 45 minutes!!! That means if you wait for both cars so you can race you have to wait an hour and a half! That is HUGE for little kids. I would rather just pop in a couple AA batteries and be on your way. Playing, playing, playing and having fun then oops both cars are dead, now we have to wait an hour and a half.

Both of my younger boys wanted this toy very much (great marketing Fisher Price). They were excited when they received it as a birthday present and they were not disappointed when we got it put together and started playing with it. The cars move really fast and with the loop, ramps and barrels the whole family was laughing and enjoying the toy in just a few minutes. The problem seems to be with the cars. The red car charged & ran fine, but after only 1 charge, the blue car wouldn't charge enough to even make the loop. So, we took it back to where we purchased it (nationwide toy retailer selling it for $15 less than Amazon) as defective and got another set. (Just the car would have been ok with me--but their choice.) Anyway, got the second one home and same situation. Both cars worked great out of the box, but after 1 or 2 charges, the blue car wouldn't get up to speed (red car still fine). So, its going back again--my boys are very disappointed as they loved this toy. If Fisher Price had spent some of their marketing $ on quality control for their Chinese manufacturer, maybe they would have had a toy that was good for more than just the 1 day when you open it!

This playset is the best version of the Shake n Go's to date. We've had the other two versions over the past several years and while they were very popular, they had their limitations. The best things about this new xtreme playset are: 1) it reconfigurable which gives it a lot more versatility 2) the cars are very fast (and have been reliable so far unlike the other reviewer's comments) 3) the loop really works and is a cool feature 4) its more durable than the other tracks--stays together and can be pulled apart and reconfigured relatively easily by the kids. If there is a downside, it is that our other Shake n go's aren't compatible with this track. Would be great to have some more car choices at this smaller scale (McQueen and the King would be awesome!).

This track set is awesome!! My Kids 4 and 7 are having a blast! They love building different track layouts and watching the super fast cars fly around. The track is easy to snap together and the loop is definitely cool... We have a lot of the other Shake n Go's but these are the fastest! I had a few minor charging issues with the cars when we first got them, but I found out if you just make sure the cars "Snap" into the charger and the light indicator is ON... they charge and run just fine! I do wish Fisher Price sold some additional cars and track pieces, maybe even an additional charger (I agree with the other reviewer...some Pixar Cars would be a great addition)...We absolutely love this product!

We bought this for our sons 4th Birthday. We did have the same trouble as many reviewers with the car dying out quickly so we called Fisher-Price and we have a replacement car on the way (free of charge). We were told that the model we purchased was the old model and that they have fixed the problem since. There are replacement cars also available for purchase for $20 and the charger for $18 at [...]. It is nice that the cars have rechargable batteries, however, the charger takes 4 D size batteries, would have been better with an a/c adaptor. Besides the that, it provides hours of fun! Cars are very fast and stay on the track. When shaken to full power they easily cruise around the track 4 times before having to shake them again. Track is easily assembled and many different layouts are shown on the Fisher-Price website so it doesn't get boring! Great investment for our 4 year old and even his 2 year old little sister can play! (very durable! lol)

My 4 year old really wanted this Shake 'n Go Xtreme Speedway for Christmas and with Amazon's special pricing it couldn't be beat! Excellent toy, made well and sturdy. I wish the car charger had an on/off switch, but as long as you don't leave the car on it, you're fine. Great toy, lots of fun! I just don't know who likes it more? The 4 year old? The 9 year old? The 36 year old Dad? or Grandpa?? Everyone seemed to have fun and they keep playing with it, which makes it perfect in this mom's eyes! =)

My five year old asked for this, and received it from his grandparents yesterday. I'm not sure who is enjoying it the most--the five year old, who can make the track and race the cars all by himself, the one year old who sits in the middle of the track laughing and playing "godzilla" taking the flags and oil barrels the five year old has so carefully set up, or the dad, age 42, who thinks this is the best new toy at our house this year. The cars have ended up under the couch a few times. I wish too that the charge on the cars lasted longer, and that amazon didn't suggest the pixar cars to go with this set to unknowing grandparents-we have two additional cars that aren't working properly and don't fit on this set.

Great toy, very entertaining for little kids and they are able to do it on their own, i have yet to see a young child play with this toy that did not very much enjoy it!!! Buy it!

Got this for my 3 year old son's bday and he loved it. I don't think it takes that long to charge the cars with the rechargeable battery so that actually was a positive to the new cars. And the new cars go really fast and the track is really nice. However, a week later the red car wouldn't charge. It would go but very slow no matter how long I charged it. Called fisher-price and they sent me a new one. The day after we got the new red car the same thing happened to the blue one. Called fisher-price again and they sent me a new blue car. I asked if this was a problem with other people and they said no but I see on here that it is. If it happens again I plan on calling them back and asking for a refund of the $65 I paid for this. Not to mention that none of my son's other original shake cars even fit on this track so I had to keep the old track and the whole point was to replace it! :)

I bought this for my sons fifth birthday and it was great. He is able to put it together himself. One of the cars broke the first day but they are cheap to replace.
