This is lots of fun for Little People fans. Includes many pop favorites like Monster Mash, along with a few revised classics (e.g., Mary had a little spider (not lamb)).

I wasn't sure about this cd because we have a few Little People dvds and my daughter could care less about them. We got this cd and took it with us on a 2 hour car trip. This cd made the difference. It's not too scary but not too goofy either. And it gets her talking about the seasonal words like ghost, pumpkin, spider etc. A good buy for the holiday and I would consider some of the Little People cds now.

The songs are a little hokey, but they are easy to learn and sing along. A fun CD if you are looking for festive and silly halloween songs.

THE MUSIC IS GREAT AND MY KIDS( AGES 5 & 8 ) LOVE TO SING ALONG!

This is a perennial favorite in our house, and that's with a 7- and 9-year old! Ignore the "Little People" packaging, this is a GREAT CD for kids of all ages - and even adults who like campy, holiday songs. There are references to real groups - The Crypt-Kicker 5, for example, in the Monster Mash - that grandma and grandpa may enjoy explaining to their grandkids. It's a fantastic romp through Halloween songs, and I love it. Our favorites are the Purple People Eater, Monster Mash & There's a Hole in the Cauldron. The voices are well done, and the singers deserve a lot of credit for not dumbing-down the lyrics, which so many kid cd's do. BTW, we didn't like ANY of the other Little People CD's; this is by far the best.

This was my first LittlePeople CD. I expected it to be children singing, but it's adults singing in children's voices. Jarring at first, but fun once I got used to it.

Most of the tracks are minor rewordings of popular, non-Halloween songs:
* The Ghosts Go Floating = The Ants Go Marching
* The Other Day I Met A Ghoul = I Met A Bear
* There's A Hole In The Cauldron = There's A Hole In My Bucket
* Five Green Goblins = Five Little Monkeys Jumping On The Bed
* Mary Had A Little Spider = Mary Had A Little Lamb
* The Monsters In Your Neighborhood = The People In Your Neighborhood
* Down By The Bay (pumpkins) = Down By The Bay (watermelons)
* Five Black And Hairy Bats = Five Little Speckled Frogs
* R-I-N-G-O = B-I-N-G-O

So, it's a little lame in that regard, but it's still fun and I'm sure we'll listen to it for years to come.
