This review is from: Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair - Tan (Baby Product)
The chair was exactly what we were looking for. Our dining area is fairly small so using our existing dining chair does save space. The booster chair feels secure as it secures both behind and under the dining chair with buckle straps. It also has non-skid rubber feet on the bottom of all four corners. The 3-point to 5-point harness is helpful for keeping the baby in place. We were using one of those cheapy plastic block booster chairs and our 7-month old kept slouching underneath the tray. The contoured seat in the Space Saver High Chair helps to prevent that. The adjustable height was useful for raising the tray to just above our table level so we could slide the whole chair underneath when not in use. I'm not sure when we'd recline the seat, but I guess it's a nice option to have. The chair reminds me of a car seat, and as such, keeps our baby in place while feeding. The one-handed release of the tray and the highly adjustable settings are convenient options. I don't think I could ask for anything more out of a booster chair. Perhaps a built-in iPod adapter with speakers built into the tray or something. Just kidding :P The model I purchased is the J5933, but there is another model, L1907. According to a couple of customers who researched them, the differences are basically color. Kudos to them for researching them and clearing that up.

Great for twins and small apartment!,

We ordered these chairs when we were expecting twins, because we didn't have any room for 2 full-size high chairs. These work great on our dining room chairs and the girls are very comfortable. My husband uses them fully reclined to feed the girls bottles at the same time. This has been a life saver -- if we can't feed them at the same time there is a lot of scremaing. These are great little chairs and I'm sure we'll use them for a long time!

Space Saver? Not so much.,

I registered for this and received it at my baby shower. While the concept is good, it doesn't do much to save space. With the arms of it at the height they are, it prevents me from pushing the chair under the table, so it just sits in the middle of the floor. Also because of that, I will not be able to use it as a booster seat. I saved more space by getting a regular high chair because the tray is just above the table and can easily push it in. Also, I have found the tray to not only be flimsy, but the one handed feature rarely works and the tray is very small. A LOT of food landed on the floor when my daughter was in it.

Don't waste your money on an ordinary High chair..get this!,

I am much happier since converting my twins to these high chairs. The seat adjusts for the smaller babies and also works as a booster seat for toddlers! I had ordinary high chairs in the kitchen and always had this large contraption in the way! Not anymore! Also, I have found that there is enough space between the back of this highchair and my kitchen chair to store the tray when not in use. Without the tray, you can push the seat right up to the table for storage. You feel like your kids are actually eating with you at the table. I also feel it has great safety features. Not only the seatbelts, but there is a high divider that sticks up between the legs to prevent child from sliding out. The tray goes off and on easily as well. Wish I had purchased this a long time ago!

great high chair, but not good as booster seat,

This review is from: Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair (Baby Product)
This was a really great high chair and I saw no reason to have a full sized high chair when my son was an infant. Now that my son is 18 months I wanted to convert it to a booster seat as you are supposed to be able to do. This chair is not very well designed for this purpose. The tray, back, and the cover come off but the arms do not. Because of this it is not possible to scoot it into the table. My toddler is sitting the length of the arms away from the table and has trouble reaching his plate on the table.

The only high chair you'll ever need!! Buy 3 -- The grandparents need it too!!,

Every mom is passionate about her one favorite baby product. This is mine! Most important, this high chair straps onto ANY armless chair -- that means that it works great at home, comes with us to Nana's house, goes out to the lake house, over to Auntie's house, to ALL restaurants and even in the camper. You can't do that with a regular high chair! Also, it tilts! When babies start on their first solids, they need to be in a chair, but can't sit up on their own. The angle that this one reclines to is perfect. It gradually tilts up as the child gets older, and the tray tilts with the seat, so it's always level. Now that our son is almost ready to sit at the table with the rest of the family, we'll be able to simply remove the tray and pull him over like everyone else -- no need to buy a booster seat. Cleanup is a breeze, and the tray is even dishwasher safe. The padded chair cover is easy to wipe clean, but also soft and comfy enough for even tiny babies. I tell all of my new-mom-friends to get this high chair. It's THE BEST high chair on the market, HANDS DOWN. You won't regret this purchase.

The best of both worlds,
This review is from: Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair - Tan (Baby Product)
If you are having trouble deciding between a traditional high chair or a booster-style, strap-on chair, your search has come to an end. As you would expect with a high chair, this product has a convertible 5- or 3-point harness, a cushioned seat, a one-hand-release tray, a reclining seat, and a seat that moves up and down. Like a booster seat, this product is compact, easy to clean, and can be pulled up to the table when baby is older and only needs a little boost.Other customers might want to know that the cushioned seat is made of wipeable vinyl with fabric trim. I was worried that the trim would become hopelessly stained, but so far so good. Also, this product does not fold and carry super-conveniently as some of the hard plastic models do. However, these are very minor gripes with a product out of which I expect to get years of use.

I have purchased many different high chairs over the years for my other three children, with all of those high chairs being donated or given away after use. I was not satisfied with free standing models and previous space saver high chairs only stayed in the upright position. This chair was different. Here are the pros I have found: 1. Takes up minimal space. The chair fits perfectly on my wooden dining room chairs. It does not stick out farther on the sides than my chairs. 2. Ease and ability to recline. I use this chair for my 3 month old daughter to sit in while I am doing dishes or cooking dinner and it is very easy to adjust. My daughter's not quite old enough to be fed in this chair yet but I have fed my friends 6 month old son in this chair and I found it very easy to feed him in the reclined position. 3. Removable tray. The tray removes easy for when I have my daughter in the chair and works great for when my friends bring their children over and they need a highchair for their child to sit in and eat in. Con: 1. Fits perfectly at the table...for the table I have. I have read other reviews that the chair didn't fit well with the table. I guess the arms of the high chair didn't fit under the table...but mine fits perfect My chair seat is almost 17 inches from the ground and the bottom of my table is 29 inches from the ground. This is perfect space for the chair to slide up right to the table so my daughter can eat with us when she is older. my suggestion is for those seeking to purchase this and use it for the long haul to measure the space available between the top of your chair seat and the bottom of the table. You need about 11 inches of space for the arms of the high chair to fit under your table when pushed in. Overall I personally have not found any problems with this chair. It looks adorable for little girls and it works very well too!

This chair was exactly what I needed to save space. I could use it before a regular high chair because it reclines & lifts up. It is actually better than a high chair. It also converts to a booster when I need it.

This review is from: Fisher-Price Space Saver High Chair, Scatterbug (Baby Product)
I did not want a bulky traditional high chair for my second child so I purchased this item. I've been using it for about three months (baby is now 8 months). I am pretty satisfied - it's easy to set up, tray is nice and big, chair and pad are very easy to clean (no hidden nooks where the food can hide) and my baby seems comfortable in it. The print is very nice. When I had it in a reclining position it didn't quite fit in my chair. Thankfully, the chair has a cross slat in the back so I fit the top of the seat through the whole between the slats. I do not like the child restraining straps. When my baby was smaller there was a lot of slack left on the straps which was always in the way and he was always chewing on them. It's a bit hard to get him in and out of them. I often have difficulty sliding the tray in. I don't like that at all. My baby is chunky, 22 lbs at 8 months and I am concerned about him being comfortable in this seat as he gets bigger. I do wish it had a bit more cushiony padding. So far I am satisfied with the item but I could have gotten a bigger more comfortable traditional high chair for him for a few more bucks.
