I did not want a bulky traditional high chair for my second child so I purchased this item. I've been using it for about three months (baby is now 8 months). I am pretty satisfied - it's easy to set up, tray is nice and big, chair and pad are very easy to clean (no hidden nooks where the food can hide) and my baby seems comfortable in it. The print is very nice. When I had it in a reclining position it didn't quite fit in my chair. Thankfully, the chair has a cross slat in the back so I fit the top of the seat through the whole between the slats. I do not like the child restraining straps. When my baby was smaller there was a lot of slack left on the straps which was always in the way and he was always chewing on them. It's a bit hard to get him in and out of them. I often have difficulty sliding the tray in. I don't like that at all. My baby is chunky, 22 lbs at 8 months and I am concerned about him being comfortable in this seat as he gets bigger. I do wish it had a bit more cushiony padding. So far I am satisfied with the item but I could have gotten a bigger more comfortable traditional high chair for him for a few more bucks.

This was the perfect high chair for my granddaughter when she comes to stay with me. It is easy to set up on my dining room chair. When she goes home I just take it out of the chair and store it. I also have a 2 month old grandson that will be using it soon. I just love it!

We loved this chair at first... but then after using it for a few months we have come to realize the truth. First of all, it's dangerous. When not using the tray part my daughter has gotten her arms stuck between the rails (that the tray attaches too) and the seat part itself multiple times. While it didn't require any medical attention, it caused her pain and gave her a red arm and upset her to the point of crying. The last time that her arm got stuck it was stuck so badly that we weren't sure we were even going to be able to get it out!! 2ndly, this chair is difficult to clean and to keep clean. I like the pad, but food is constantly falling between the pad and the seat and getting underneath and you may not realize there's anything under there for weeks..... yuck. One tip though, the pad says it can only be handwashed, but we have washed ours in the washing machine on cold/gentle cycle, and dried it on tumble dry low with NO issues at all. The fabric has held up very well.

OH, and also, the tray is very hard to get on and off the chair.. it worked like a charm at first but after a bit of wear and tear I guess... the mechanism is getting worn out. Very regretful that we spent $65 on this chair......

I see that the 2012 model no longer includes the tray arms, so at least they redesigned it... I still wouldn't buy it though, I am looking into other options.

When you're raising kids in a tiny apartment in the big city, "Space Saver" is definitely what you want. This fits the bill while being a real, full-featured high chair. The contour and padding of the seat have been very comfortable for my baby from 4 months old when we got it, to the present (she's almost two now). The ability to tilt the seat was great when she was young and now comes in handy when she falls asleep in there (who falls asleep in middle of eating?! Kids!!!) The size of the tray is nice (cup holder indents a little small for some chunky kiddie cups though). Everything is easy to clean. Overall, it's just a really, really nice piece and I got an older color at a great price so it was really perfect.

My only concern is that some of the plastics don't seem as sturdy as full-fledged high chairs I've seen. So far the seat has held up great over a year and a half of heavy use but the tray doesn't slide on and off as easily as it should; even though it has a (theoretically) really nifty one-hand release button, that doesn't really do it anymore, I have to use the two grips on the side to get it on and off. The dropped star is for the tray not sliding so nicely. It still attaches and detaches just fine, but with two hands.

Also, I rave about how it was perfect - for US. We have a tiny apartment, a full set of chairs, one child, and rare guests. If you find yourself short of chairs because you have more big people or frequent guests, then you may as well get a regular high chair and not waste an adult chair hosting this. If space is a concern then get one that folds well, it will save you more space if you need your chairs because you can fold it away whereas this can only be taken off the chair, which will get annoying, and will still take up the same amount of space just in a different place (where?!) We could spare the chair but not the space or money for a separate baby unit. It's about individual needs here.

I bought two of these chairs for my twins because of the good reviews I read here. I have not ever been more disappointed in a product! They are impossible to clean. The padding is a pain to remove and reinstall and does not stay clean longer than one use. The manufacturer states that it is wipeable. I suppose this is true, but wiping often doesn't remove whatever food stained it. After you fight to remove the padding, the crotch strap is even more difficult to remove. In fact, during the 10 months I've owned these chairs, I've never been able to remove the crotch strap. This means that it is no longer white, it is multi-stained and food is gunked up inside the buckle. And speaking of gunked-up food, the handles of these chairs have tiny little plastic compartments where your baby will be sure to smoosh food into. Unless you own a tiny chisel, you may as well forget ever cleaning that out. Lastly, there is a 3/4" space between the seat and the chair that you strap it to. That means there will be lots of crumbs and crud stuck to your chair underneath the highchair. Of course, you can unstrap it from the chair to clean off the chair underneath, but you will need to do that daily if you want to preserve the quality of your kitchen chair.

I am so unhappy with this product, that I am beginning to wonder if the manufacturer is the writer of the rave reviews that prompted me to buy this product.
