Fun for the bath and pool, but no color change,

My daughter received this toy as a gift on her second birthday. Overall, it is a good toy for her to play with, but the lifejacket and Boots' innertube do not change color. I do like the fact that Dora is wearing a lifejacket, which makes it easy to convince my daughter to wear one. My daughter does seem to play more with Boots than Dora, probably because he squirts water. The toy is easy to clean(my daughter plays with it in an outdoor pool, and it sometimes ends up out of the water and on the ground). It has held up very well considering it is at the mercy of a two-year old. It's a good toy, but I wish it would change colors like the packaging stated.

My kids have had this for about a year now. It's even been to the beach a couple of times! Just tonight my 3 year old was in the tub and I brought the tub toy basket over and said "pick one" -she picked Dora! My 5 year old son has always like Boots more because he squirts water...though like the other reviewer mentioned it's probably about time to pitch him because of the interier mold. But for the Dora doll it's worth it!

Cute but not functional,

We bought this Dora and Boots set at Walmart for $8 Dec 2005. It's so cute but not very functional. We assumed this was a bath toy and that's exactly what my 2 year old thought too. Dora's head fills up with water and after fighting to get her head off to empty it, we found that there was no hole to empty the water out of....how water gets in it is beyond me! She is top heavy to begin with but once water gets in it's hard to get her to stand up on her own. And her head dented from what we believe is the water pressure that has built up in there. Boots is also head-heavy so he usually ends upside-down in the water. His innertube is a squirter which is fun but it fills up and makes him unable to float like he should. My daughter loved playing with them for maybe 3 days. Now they just float around unnoticed in the bath.

My daughter loves her bath and she LOVES Dora!!! We have two bags full of bath toys, but Dora and Boots are the only ones that she will play with. I gave the durability of this toy a 4 simply because Boots could eventually get mold inside where the water shoots out. Other than that, I recommend this toy to ALL Dora fans.

Alyssa loves her dora and boots. These are her favorite bath toys. They are very durable and encourage her to use her imagination by acting out scenes of Dora videos. These toys are going to be around our home for a long, long time. So if you have a Dora lover in your home, or if you know of a little one who loves Dora- you have to get this set, it's great! We highly recommend.

Kids love it, but head leaks,

My daughters, 2 and 4, received this doll as a gift, and immediately loved it. But after the first bath, Dora's head filled with water and won't drain.I called the manufacturer's customer support line ... and the representative was very helpful. Dora's head is still full of water, but the company offered to send a voucher good on any Fisher Price product. My advice is to keep the receipt on this toy, see if the head leaks, and if so, return in and exchange it. Call the company and tell them about it, so that they are aware of the problem.

My 2 year old daughter is a Dora fanatic. She loves taking off Dora's flippers and life jacket and putting them back on. The jacket does change color in the warm water, and I agree with some of the other reviewers that the flippers don't always stay on that well. It's great that Dora's hair is molded plastic, so it doesn't get all tangled and nasty from repeated dunking. All in all, this is a great toy for any Dora fan.

My daughter got this at age 21 months and she loves it. Dora stands by herself when her flippers are on. The great thing about this Dora doll is, you can't mess up her hair, and she can get wet because of her plastic body. Her vest changes color, not Boots (as described on this website). Boots is made of soft plastic and squirts water, which makes him fun. My little girl loves to carry them around!

This toy was one of the first in our collection of water toys and is still going strong! Purchased over a year and a half ago, my little boy will be three next month and he still loves to squirt both Dora and me with the Boots. The vest on the one I bought still changes colors when it gets wet and Doras head has not gotten water inside of it. The Boots did get moldy inside despite my best efforts to squeeze all the water out and allow to dry on its side. I now once a month fill the bathroom sink with hot water and add a capful or two of bleach and squeeze it in and out several times -- this works well for all his "squirtys". Also, we had an opportunity to ride in a friends boat and while all the other kids were screaming they didn't want a vest on, my son willingly jumped into his saying "I'm just like Dora Mommy"!
