My son received this toy as a Christmas gift (he was 7 months old at the time) and has enjoyed playing with the blocks everyday since he received it. He is now 10 months old and is still enjoying the blocks even more each day. He loves to watch the faces pop up out of the blocks and will shake the blocks to listen to the clack of the pop-up over and over again. He just discovered how to stack the blocks himself and so has found a new way to enjoy this toy.
The only downside I can see at all to this toy is that the lid is hard to keep on the toy and the blocks spill out all over, however it really isn't too much of an issue because this just makes discovering the blocks all over again so much fun for my son! :)

My 7-month-old loves these blocks. Amazon had the best price. The best part is the squeaky snail... He makes a sound like a dog squeak toy. Baby loves this.

These blocks are made very well, they are easy to keep clean. The children can and will put them in their mouths, at lest they can not bite them like the sponge blocks. All the children love them, infants rattle them and preschoolers build great towers! Fun toy I have four sets!!

My daughter received this toy as a gift for her first birthday. At first, I thought it was probably going to be one of the less played with toys that she had, but I was completely wrong. She loves these blocks! She dumps them out and puts them back in the container over and over, and loves to shake them to hear the click clack sound they make. She just discovered today that she can stack them three high on top of the lid and that the lid makes the centers pop up. She was squealing with laughter. Even I find myself fiddling with them when I am sitting on the floor playing with her! They are tons of fun. Buy them!

Unlike traditional blocks, the top portion of these blocks go back in when they're not stacked onto the base or the cover. This is not that intuitive for a 12-month old, or even a 2-year old, to figure out. My daughter prefers the traditional blocks simply because these are not easy to stack up.

We received the dump truck has a gift at Christmas around the six month age. Our entire family loved playing with it so much we have since expanded our collection and continue to keep an eye out for more block men (Walmart and Target will place them on sale from time to time). My son loves playing with them for peekaboo, rattles, or just a toy to throw and see what the adults will do in the room. My husband and I have fun show him how to stack them and explaining either the numbers or shapes on each on. I love how the block men remind me of Legos or mega blocks for babies. Currently, my son is using some of the block men for a teething toy. Whether you just need a fun toy or an educational toy (since there all the craze) block men are a great one to get! I have had similar issues with the lid. However, I have also bought a couple of other toy buckets that have the same issue and have come to believe that is so the baby doesn't become frustrated with the lid not coming off for them. Easy on Easy off for babies. Over all, I have yet to be disappointed in this product.

My sixteen month old grandson likes this toy. In order for any toy to be truly educational, an adult must guide the playing and interact while the child using this snail pail. Seems durable. He has only had it for two months so time will tell.

my 10 month old loves this toy! however the toys itself were scratched when it was shipped to me. The fisher price sign was barely readable and there were some sticky residue all over the toys. i would have expected it to come in like new not like this

I purchased this block set for my daughter for her first Christmas. She has not actually played with it yet, as she is only 3 months old. My husband and I were looking for toys that she would become interested in in the coming months. We had actually settled on a different set, the shaped blocks that simply slide into the correct shape slots. When I came upon this I changed my mind. This set offers a bit more. There are more blocks to play with, there is a little squeaky snail that attaches to the blocks (which she already enjoys), as well as 2 platforms to build the blocks up on and a bucket to put them all in. There is also additional toys that can be purchased in the future to use the blocks with. For the low price, this set had more potential. I give it 3 stars because she has yet to actually sit and play with the set.
