Cute idea, very poorly executed,

My son saw this advertised on TV and NEEDED to have it. I finally relented and made him pick out 5 of his toys to donate and then made him get half the money from his piggy bank. He really, really wanted it! It's a cute idea and he likes to play with it, but the "changing" part is a huge disappointment. The characters have holes in their feet and there are pegs in the magic door. It's nearly impossible to get a character securely into the pegs. I can barely do it and when I think I've got it, they don't stay anyway. When you use the lever to make the switch, the character falls over...usually blocking the door and making it not work. In simple words, it just doesn't work. Oh, the swing also hits the tree house, therefore doesn't swing freely. I really don't know why Fisher Price would release a toy like this.
It's very overpriced, too. I'm a parent who spends way too much money on toys and clothes, and I usually don't mind if they are entertaining and/or educational. This toy should be in the [...] price range (with sale prices around [...]). We got lucky and paid at the high end of that range and I regret it. I wish I could return it. I think it's actually worth a letter to the Fisher Price because they should make a better toy. Save your money until they make this better. If they make some improvements and lower the price, it will be a great toy.

The Worst Fisher Price Toy Ever Created,

This review is from: Fisher-Price Super Sleuth Changing Tree (Toy)
This is the single worst Fisher Price toy ever made. I have never been disatisfied with a Fisher Price toy until now.
My son got this toy for his birthday and it was broken the same day. He got less than an hour of playtime out of this thing in total. He is 3 years old and did not play roughly with it. Beware! Do not buy this toy! Things that broke on ours are: the lever gets jammed; only one slide will flip down; the tipping slot where you put the scooter no longer tips to push the scooter down the slide; sometimes the changing area does not turn all of the way around; the door latch only works half of the time, if I want it to close, I have to push down the changing lever again and then close the door again. All of this is wrong with it from less than an hour of total play time! To top it all off, this toy was poorly designed. When the treehouse flap comes down, you can't swing the swing. I contacted Fisher Price. I am sending this toy back to them in order to get a full refund voucher to use on another Fisher Price item. I think I will stick with a Little People playset this time.

My daughter LOVES this toy. I was hesitant to buy it for Christmas after reading several bad reviews, but she loves the characters so much that I thought we would try it. On Christmas morning, she played with nothing else. She didn't even open the rest of her presents until the next day! I agree with other reviewers that the "changing tree" function does not work as well as it could - the characters' feet do not line up on the pegs very well, and it is somewhat difficult to push their feet onto the tiny pegs on the tree. All other aspects of the tree work really well, and so far, nothing has broken. And for sheer imaginary play, this is a wonderful toy!

I was suprised to find out when we opened it Christmas morning that it didn't have any of the characters included with it. I was a bit disappointed that it was the tree with a scooter!

Kids Love It--Not Very Sturdy,

My kids (3 year old twins) got this for CHristmas. It's not built very sturdily, but we haven't had the issues that others who have reviewed this product have had. Pooh will "change" in the tree, but I have to put him in the tree for the kids. They push the lever and he turns in the tree, the sides pop down. The button plays cute little recorded bits from the show. They espcially like to put tigger on the scooter. The tire swing does swing on ours, but it pops off the tree a bit too easily. I'd have rather paid $10 more for the toy and have it made better, but my kids play with it for 30 minutes at a time.

My daughter also requested this for Christmas. I too am very disappointed in the toy, it is hard for her to use and nothing really works well on it. The changing/rotating part gets stuck, the ramp only halfway works. I would not recommend spending the 30-40 bucks to get it.

We received this as a Christmas present after my 3-year-old daughter saw it on TV and requested it. We had read the preceding reviews, but got it anyway, and found out the other reviews were exactly right. I know things are made as cheaply as possible today, and I didn't expect a heirloom that would be passed down the generations, but this toy really did cross the line in being poorly made. I repeatedly had to break away from whatever I was doing to help my frustrated daughter try to make it work (the changing thing and scooter launcher never did really work). My daughter is fairly forgiving, so on the plus side she still seemed to like the toy. I had thought that Fisher Price was one of the few companies you could go to for products that were a step-up from the usual cheap and unreliable toys, but with this toy that was not the case.

My son loves the 'My Friends Tigger and Pooh' series, so we got it for his birthday. He hugged the box when he saw it. That was where the joy ended. The pieces are cheaply made, do not stay together very well, even with very gentle use. The 'changer' gets stuck just about every time, the scooter launcher is almost as useless. You only get a few of the characters (others sold separately). I think the one I bought was actually returned to the store once already because it already had batteries in the bottom when we opened it up (and not the cheap kind that ususally comes with toys). The 'mystery' that each child is challeged with is simply a one sentence description - that probably any child could dream up on his/her own. Hardly what this toy claims. For example it will say, "Oh no, Eeyore can't find his tail. Where can it be?" Then you're on your own to imagine the rest of the mystery. First off, Eeyore isn't even included in this set (again, sold separately). I guess my son will have to imaging Eeyore, too. I understand provoking imaginitive play, but give the kids more to go on than that! I can't say enough bad things about this toy. Disappointing and expensive. Do NOT waste your money. Shame on Fisher Price for distributing such a lackluster dud of a toy.

I got this winnie the pooh for my 3 years old as a xmas present. Shes spending lot of time playing with it. She loves the sound, music and talking and the pieces.I like it but there are things that are not very easy when playing with it like the magic door ,the small characters dont stand good on it or get stock inside. My child is always asking me to insert the small pieces in the car , it has 2 small holds that attach on it and its a little difficult to do it for some kids.Other than that I like it because it doesnt have many pieces and my kid loves it and use it.Also the price was not bad 20 bucks
