With so many dump trucks out there, it's hard to know which one to buy. My son has so many of them, honestly, I would have never bought this one. But we recieved it as a gift, and he loves it. The handle on top is hard for him to figure out, because you have to push it down then back up for the truck to move. But also, if you push the little person down, the truck will move as well. It makes cute sounds and moves forward with his eyes moving and mouth. It has a lot of room in the back to put rocks or small things in it. The only thing I thought that was wierd was the spiral platform on the side. It looks like you can put him on there and he will spin around to the top, but you just put him on there and it goes up and down manually and makes noises. My son dropped it from high off the table the other day, the back of the truck fell off, but it easily could be put back together. Also, has a on and off switch so you don't always have to run down the battery!!

My 2 year old Grandson got this for Christmas last year and plays with it all the time. I plan to buy a few more Little People toys this year for him for his birthday and Christmas. He takes this toy with him all the time, It has withstood alot of 2 year old play time and is still in excellent condition and runs GREAT. He also loves the videos, I hope to find some more with the toys for him.

My son got this 2 years ago when he turned 1 year. He is 3 now and still loves it. I also have a 2 year old who loves it. They fight over it constantly; I should probably get another one. The battery life is wonderful, I've only replaced them once, and they play with it all the time. Their favorite thing to do with it is to hold on to the dump part and run around the house. That gets annoying because it causes the wheels to make a click noise. It does not go well on thick carpet, but works well on hard floor or low carpet. Overall this is a very durable, very entertaining toy. I have bought it as gifts for other toddlers and they love it just as much.
***Just a little note I recently ordered this truck again and the one in the picture is not the same color as the one you receive. The dump part of it is orange and the blue handle is actually black. And I'm not sure if its in the description but it comes with volume 4 in the Little People Movie Series. My kids absolutely love this series. ***
