This is just one of many items we purchased for my step-daughter (she's nine) for Christmas. She absolutly LOVES Dinasaurs and knows just about ANYTHING you may want to know about them.

The dino itself is made from a hard plastic. It's durable. The armor clicks on pretty well. The person that comes with it, doesn't fall out either. He also comes with an drill and a plastic rock. My four year old is often frustrated by toys that fall over or fall apart but this one doesn't. However the armor isn't very exciting. It doesn't make a lot of sense and it's not the first choice in imaginext toys that he plays with. So while a decent toy, not a favorite.

The Fisher-Price Ankylosaurus is another awesome dinosaur toy. The mold and colors on this toy are truly fantastic, nothing silly or "baby toy" looking. It has a good intimidating glare and the tail moves up and down. We don't really use the armor when these dinos are played with, but Ankylosaurus' armor is pretty cool: it has two nifty hammer spikes giving it weapons in the front and back along with his club-tail. The helmet has eye holes which is a good thing. It comes with "Agent Yellow" as we call him (all our dinos and color-named Agents are on the same side against all-comers).
You can't go wrong with Ankylosaurus: Durable, cool-looking, lots of weaponry, good price, and easily-packed for trips. I recommended this without any reservation, and take my word for it that I know quite a bit about what dinosaur toys are good (of course who cares, so long as your child agrees). They even got the name right! Here's to years of dinosaur fun and don't forget to have your little one watch "Dinosaur Train" too!

My grandson absolutely loves this toy. He is so very interested in dinasaurs and he did not have this one. It was a big hit at Christmas.
