Product Description

Product Description

Imagine … a world of action & excitement where you decide what happens next! This time, it’s a world of Medieval adventure, with a working catapult! Bring the catapult to the Eagle Talon Castle—it will recognize and respond to it with different speech and sounds! (Castle and additional accessories sold separately and subject to availability.) Requires 2 AAA batteries.

From the Manufacturer

The Imaginext Castle Large Catapult is one of the exciting new Castle Feature Vehicles. It features our newly developed “Action Tech” technology allowing the castle to recognize and respond to the vehicle with the twist or press of the disk. The Catapult is designed to roll into battle and support the knights trying to get in. You can press down on the disc and fire one of three boulders towards the castle. When you release the disc, the next boulder automatically moves into position. With either a twist or press of the disc, the castle will also call out to warn the knights within the castle of impending fire. In addition to working with the Castle, the Catapult also has cool battling sound effects that will reward and surprise as the activation disk is pressed.

My family is an Imaginext family - great products and great durability. This is the first product that we've bought that has simply not worked. The boulders do not shoot, and if the toy us supposed to be a catapult, it kind of takes the fun out of it if it doesn't shoot boulders. If you check other reviews here on Amazon or on the Fisher-Price website, this is a common issue with this toy.

If you contact Fisher-Price customer service, they will send you a shipping label to send back to them and get a $13 voucher for another product. That's at least what they told me via chat today, so just giving a heads-up. I asked about the product being fixed and all she could tell me was that there were "many happy customers" so I don't know that they will be fixing this issue or not. I don't know that the voucher will be used on another catapult.

*** Wanted to add something to this review. I was able to take the catapult apart and fix the throwing mechanism. For our catapult, one of the plastic pieces that worked with other gears to propel it forward was out of place. To take it apart, unscrew four main screws (one is hidden behind a wheel. You can pop the wheel off and it should go back on without a problem. At least mine did. One of the other screws is partially hidden by a wheel but I was able to get that without taking off the wheel).

After doing that, you'll have to pry off the red pushing mechanism by pushing in on the little tab on the side with a flat head screwdriver. Then unscrew the screws on the red pushing mechanism. Inside you'll see three brown gear like parts. One was dislodged on mine. If you put it back in place, then slip it over the red pushing button before sliding the red button back in place, it should work.

I bought this toy and got it home only to find out it didn't work. The launcher did not launch the boulders at all. I took it back and exchanged it for a new one. It worked, however, it also broke after one day. Not sure how my children did this, but it will not launch the boulders anymore. They fall on top of the catapult instead of flying over. Definitely not durable enought to withstand 3 and 5-year old boys.

Christmas morning it lasted about 2 times, took it back and exchanged for another and it lasted about 4 times. Idea is great but the quality stinks. Very disappointed with this toy. Usually imaginext has alot better quality toys.

My 4 yr old son recently received this toy and loves it. It offers add on fun to the Fisher-Price Imaginext Eagle Talon Castle Great imaginative play! The toy is a catapult that comes with 3 balls, a battle guy, and some accessories for him. The only downfall I see would be losing the balls or small accessory sword, etc. I would recommend ages 3-7ish. Seems like it will be nice toy to last for years.

This plus the Dragon make a complete day of play for our "little man." Very fun & very creative! We like the creative play it inspires, without too much electronic "gizmo" stuff.

My son loves all the imaginext toys. I started buying them for him when he was 2 and now he is almost 7 he still enjoys playing with them and still asks for the new ones that come out. Made well.

My son received this for Christmas, played with it for exactly 10 minutes and it was broken. He wasn't being rough, just launching the rocks at the castle. Amazon was great and sent a replacement one, which lasted for....exactly 2 days. Not worth the trouble to replace again. Obviously not a durable toy and I'm surprised they are still selling it. Listen to the other reviews and don't buy this.
