My father gave this to my son for his first birthday this fall. I wasn't sure what he would think of it,but it looked cute. Well, no sooner did I pop the batteries in and turn it on, my son used it to stand himself up and when I pushed the musical note, he was thrilled! The lights twinkle and music is just right for entertaining him without being too loud or irritating to those around him. He loves how Piglet can play "Peek-a-boo" and though he doesn't use the shape blocks, he has had fun figuring out what else fits down the chute in the tree top; especially his big brother's Hot Wheels cars.
It's a very sturdy toy. My son weighs about 24lbs and at one point when our backs were turned for just a minute, we saw that he climbed on top of the toy and was standing on it!! He was holding onto a piece of furniture and of course while we were stunned and laughing at our little monkey, we couldn't believe that the toy could tolerate his weight.
My father isn't too experienced with buying toys, but this was an excellent choice. Even my cats and dog like nudging Eyeore's rattling ball with their noses.
I can't speak to price because it was a gift, but from what I've read, I don't think it's much more than average.
I definately recommend this toy for young toddlers.

I bought this for my 9 month old son and he loves it. He is just turning 1 year old and he still loves it. He likes to pull up on it and play with the toys on top of the tree. He also plays the music constantly. I would highly recommend this toy.

Bought for Joshwa, July 20, 2004
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars

I convinced Daddy to buy this for Joshwa when he was about 5 months old and he went right for the Eeyore and the Tigger on the bottom of the tree. Now, Joshwa is sitting up and reaching the items on the top of the tree and talking to it and pushing the purple musical note to play the music. This toy occupied him for about a half an hour at a time. He yells and babbles to it and the music isn't too loud that it becomes annoying. Joshwa can just reach the Piglet Peek-A-Boo and pushes down the Piglets to make it say Peek-A-Boo and laughs at it. My 20month old Nephew also plays with this and the three shapes on the top and it tells him what shape he put in the correct place and puts them down the shoot. This toy is a great addition and it will last because there are activities for their growing. W
