5.0 out of 5 stars Lots to Do in One Toy, Perfect for Siblings
I like this toy because my two-year-old twins can play with it at the same time without arguing. We got it last week, and it's still the main draw in the playroom. It comes with a boy and a girl doll, and a 4-part town for them to explore: a school, the dentist and doctor, the pet store and a pizza shop, and a swing under an apple tree.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great toy but some shipments were faulty
My son received this toy for Christmas and one entire panel of the town did not work. We took it to a toystore to find out that the entire shipment had faulty working panels (the side that included the petstore).
We gave up replacing this toy. It just wasn't worth it to drive from store to store to use our credit.

Aside from the faulty wiring...

A voice counts out loud as you push apples into the tree, and my son loves this best. My daughter likes to put the dolls in the pizza shop, and put the pizzas in the oven. They love pushing anything that results in a song, voice or sound, and there's lots of that here. I'm not sure this toy would hold the attention of 5-year-olds, but I think it's perfect for 2-3 year olds.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great toy but overpriced on Amazon, November 28, 2008

This is a great toy but DON'T buy it from Amazon. These prices are outrageous. I bought mine from Walmart for much less.

My son LOVES this toy. It was given to him for Christmas when he was 18 month old. He will be 2 in 3 weeks and it is still his favorite toy. It is big enough for 2 kids to play with at the same time and it is very educational. It teaches counting, ABCs, colors, shapes, etc. I highly recommend this toy!

I bought this for my 16month old and she LOVES it. She will be able to grow into some of it but for now she has a great time moving all the pieces around, opening and closing the doors and pushing the many places that sing songs and make sounds.

We got this toy for my (almost) 2-year old for Christmas. Both he and his 4-year old brother play with it almost every day. The 2-year old loves to put the apples in the tree as it counts them, draw on the writing board, drive the truck around, and push all the buttons. My 4-year-old likes to play pretend with the people and the different places - making pizza and delivering it, going to the doctor/ dentist, swinging on the tree swing, etc. It is big enough that both can play with it at once, but folds up easily to fit onto our toy shelf. It does make a lot of "sing-songy" noise, but they really enjoy that aspect of it, so I look past it and enjoy their enjoyment of the toy. We also bought the dentist and doctor to go with it. Having these extra people makes it easier for the boys to share. The only time they have a problem sharing is if the 4-year old is playing pretend and pushing the specific buttons that go with his play while the 2-year old is pushing other buttons. The songs interrupt each other and the 4-year old gets frustrated.
I think this toy has staying power. It is well constructed and has something for all different ages. I am glad we have it and would recommend it for people who have younger children.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Educational Toy, Pointless Accessories, April 18, 2010

This is a great toy with so many great learning activities that it makes it worth the money. This comes with some accessories though that I think are totally pointless. You get a little table and chairs that the two figures can't even sit at and a car that they don't even fit in. One doesn't even fit by itself. I don't even get these out with the toy when my kids play with it. This is a great toy, but the extras aren't needed at all.

So much to see and do in one toy! The Little People Learn about town was given to my children as a gift last Christmas, which was nearly a year ago. Like their other Little People toys, they have never tired of playing with it! This toy will provide hours and years of fun for your little ones (and older ones too!)with a doctor's office and dentist's office (complete with songs and sounds), a traffic light with sounds and music, a pizza restruant with a fun oven complete with pizzas, a pet shop complete with animal sounds and an animal matching game, a pre-school, complete with ABC's song, a fun teaching game, a magna-doodle like billboard on the front of the school that allows your child to draw and write their ABC's to their hearts content, and a fun tree house club house complete with a fun counting game with apples and plenty of room for top-secret meetings! All buildings have working doors and it folds accordian style into the width of one building for easy and compact storage! So durable too! This (and all other Little People toys) are nearly impossible to break! This is a toy that will last your children for years to come and that won't loose their interest! So well built that they will provide your kids with hours and years of play (even rough play!) and will even last for years to come so that your grandchildren will one day be able to play with them and discover the same magic as their moms and dads did years before! You won't regret this or any Little People purchase! Highly reccommended!!!! :)

4.0 out of 5 stars Many toys in one..., April 8, 2009

I bought this for my 18 month old and she loves it. The best part is her four year old brother also plays with it and teachers her how to use it. It was a pain to set up because it was somehow stuck in "demo" mode and no matter which part we played with the pizza guy kept talking. I called Fisher Price and while they weren't particularly helpful, they did correctly identify the problem. After unscrewing the bottom and moving the wires around it worked fine. There are four different sections with room for more than one child to play. I appreciate the number of toys built into this. It also folds pretty conveniently. I am planning on taking it with us on our trip this weekend.

My toddler Grandson is enjoying his Little People About Town from Fisher-Price.It is an excellent learning toy for pretend play. The little pieces can be easy to misplace, so keep an eye on them. Diane S from Jersey

We gave up replacing this toy. It just wasn't worth it to drive from store to store to use our credit.

Aside from the faulty wiring issue, the toy itself was a great deal of fun. We did play with it an hour or so before discovering the flaw and all three of my kids loved it. There are sounds, learning activities and many things to do and play with. The favorite was the apple tree.

I would recommend this toy. Just double check it before leaving the store because of wiring problems.
