Comfortable and Calming
The Zen seat offers baby a comfortable and very calming spot to sit, rest and play. Soft and cushy materials and fabrics create a cozy nesting place while providing tactile stimulation, and the removable suede pillow gives smaller babies a place to rest their head. Three recline positions and two speeds of vibration can be used either to soothe or energize baby in the best way for his or her developmental age and temperament. And most importantly, the three-point restraint systems keeps baby safe and secure.

Stimulating, Easy-Care Design
Both convenient and fun, the Zen features a swinging overhead mobile with hanging toys, and 10 songs in two musical styles (Zen-like music and lullabies) stimulate baby's auditory sense. Ultra-portable, the Zen has a rear leg that folds flat for effortless storage and there are carry handles to move it from room and room. It's also a snap to clean the machine washable pad.

The Zen requires three "C" batteries (not included).

We recieved this chair two weeks ago and our 3 month old son loves it. He will not take naps in his crib, so we had to get him something to sleep in (other than in my arms). He LOVES sleeping in his chair (as well as just sitting in it watching his big brother). The music is very soothing...lullabies with an Asian twist. Plus some nature sounds that include hearbeat sounds. Plus, it has a volume control. Also, the vibration option for the chair is a lot smoother than other chairs we have had. I don't mind turning it on with this chair...no way with our old Graco bouncy seat. The chair is easy to fold up and carry (very lightweight), so you can carry the chair in one hand and the baby in your other arm. Note: this is not a bouncy seat.

I bought this chair for my daughter. She has used it since she was first born. She is now six months old and will still stay in the chair for a while.

Pros: The chair looks great! This is what attracted me to the chair in the first place. It's not an eye sore like most other baby products. I like the sounds and the vibrations are very smooth and quiet so that's also nice. It is lightweight, easy to clean and not so big that it gets in the way all the time.

Cons: the little dragonfly that dangles above doesn't do anything! I often have to place other toys in the chair with the baby so she is entertained. I wish that it at least moved. My baby hardly looks at it. It sucks batteries pretty quickly. Another comment mentioned forgetting to turn it off because it is so quiet and that is true. I have accidentally left it on so many times that by the time my daughter was a few weeks old the batteries were already dead. I wish it had a timer or something to turn it off. Also, the arm that holds the dragonfly falls out easily. I usually have the baby in one hand and have to move this with the other so sometimes the arm falls out when I am moving it around.

I am 50/50 on whether or not I'd buy this again had I known what I know now. Overall, I am pleased with it, I just need to supplement with other toys.

As the grandmother who wanted to provide a comfortable seat for my 1st grandchild while the parents visited;I purchased the Fisher-Price Zen Infant Seat. I found this item to be perfect in every way. It was easy to put together, light weight but sturdy, and looks better than the pictures present. It's also oversized which was really a must since my grandson was a BIG baby (10 lbs). We bought a different seat at first, but he took up all the space with no growing room. This item gives him room to grow. Too many other bells and whistles to list.

I fell in love with the Baby Bjorn Balance Seat and really wish I had the funds for a splurge, but alas it was not meant to be. I happened to find this NEW in a second hand baby chain store where I had a gift card and it was super cheap and also the ONLY folding seat I've actually seen in person besides the Fisher Price Soothe and Go. The later is not compact, huge when folded, kinda ugly and it was more expensive. This really does make the disappointment of not getting the Bjorn a lot easier to handle and I really recommend it as my second runner up.

Also- we live in a two story home and I really wanted a swing downstairs (we went with the 4moms mamaroo) and this seat for upstairs so that I can be handsfree for mom time - bathing, getting ready, etc.

Pros:
- It folds! Perfect for traveling to grandmas for the day and for storing.
- Compact. When it was in the back of my car, it really folds up nicely. (Not something for airports or anything, but car travel is great).
- The toy arm swings out of the way.
- Lightweight
- Doesn't look like other overly cutesie baby things and will work with a lot of decor styles.
- Fabric is really soft and machine washable. Also it comes off easily for washing.
- Cheap price in stores
- Seems to be made well and stable base
- Easy to remove fabric for machine washing

Cons:
- Doesn't bounce or respond to child's movement (retail sales rep said its against law to bounce now days.) Umm... yah right.
- Toy arm doesn't really have entertaining toys.
- Despite being a earth friendly/zen product it functions on batteries and not a wall charger.
- Music is light and hardly audible.
- Vibrations are slight (but normal for these types).

this seat has been awesome. My little one is over 4 months and she still loves it. the dragonfly isnt entertaining to her but she loves to sit in it and just look around. I've been using this since the day we got home from the hospital. The vibrating sends her off to sleep in less than 5 minutes. When she was younger she would fight her sleep and this was my best friend!

note: when your baby is about 3 months old make sure you use the straps because they will squirm till they are hanging off.

Great seat! My 5 week old has loved this infant seat since we brought her home from the hospital. The vibrating feature is great to calm her down and she also loves the music. Plus, it looks great in our home. I strongly recommend this seat!
