Great chair,
By 2 boys' Mom (Georgia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Fisher-Price Zen Collection Infant Seat (Baby Product)
We recieved this chair two weeks ago and our 3 month old son loves it. He will not take naps in his crib, so we had to get him something to sleep in (other than in my arms). He LOVES sleeping in his chair (as well as just sitting in it watching his big brother). The music is very soothing...lullabies with an Asian twist. Plus some nature sounds that include hearbeat sounds. Plus, it has a volume control. Also, the vibration option for the chair is a lot smoother than other chairs we have had. I don't mind turning it on with this chair...no way with our old Graco bouncy seat. The chair is easy to fold up and carry (very lightweight), so you can carry the chair in one hand and the baby in your other arm. Note: this is not a bouncy seat.

Looks great, but doesn't do much,

I bought this chair for my daughter. She has used it since she was first born. She is now six months old and will still stay in the chair for a while.
Pros: The chair looks great! This is what attracted me to the chair in the first place. It's not an eye sore like most other baby products. I like the sounds and the vibrations are very smooth and quiet so that's also nice. It is lightweight, easy to clean and not so big that it gets in the way all the time. Cons: the little dragonfly that dangles above doesn't do anything! I often have to place other toys in the chair with the baby so she is entertained. I wish that it at least moved. My baby hardly looks at it. It sucks batteries pretty quickly. Another comment mentioned forgetting to turn it off because it is so quiet and that is true. I have accidentally left it on so many times that by the time my daughter was a few weeks old the batteries were already dead. I wish it had a timer or something to turn it off. Also, the arm that holds the dragonfly falls out easily. I usually have the baby in one hand and have to move this with the other so sometimes the arm falls out when I am moving it around. I am 50/50 on whether or not I'd buy this again had I known what I know now. Overall, I am pleased with it, I just need to supplement with other toys.

Great seat! My 5 week old has loved this infant seat since we brought her home from the hospital. The vibrating feature is great to calm her down and she also loves the music. Plus, it looks great in our home. I strongly recommend this seat!

I have had 4 bouncers and hated that my sons head would flop around cause they didn't recline. This is the perfect bouncer it reclines so your baby is comfortable and vibrates an plays soothing music. I have read other reviews about the entertainment and I disagree completely it is HEAVENLY! I am a very expensive woman and have expensive taste this is my favorite piece of furniture. You wont go wrong with this I paid over 300 for a bouncer an perfer this one 10 times more.

perfect in every way,
This review is from: Fisher-Price Zen Collection Infant Seat (Baby Product)
As the grandmother who wanted to provide a comfortable seat for my 1st grandchild while the parents visited;I purchased the Fisher-Price Zen Infant Seat. I found this item to be perfect in every way. It was easy to put together, light weight but sturdy, and looks better than the pictures present. It's also oversized which was really a must since my grandson was a BIG baby (10 lbs). We bought a different seat at first, but he took up all the space with no growing room. This item gives him room to grow. Too many other bells and whistles to list.

This product is wonderful. It blends nicely into any decor and has many features that a mother/baby would love. It was very easy to assemble. I liked that it was different in style from the other bouncers. I would recommend checking out the Zen collection.

Zen seat,

My daughter slept in this chair for about 3 months in her bassinet and crib because she had reflux and also got a cold so she had to stay elevated. The vibrating feature was great. I agree with other reviews where it's not very interesting at all but served it's purpose for us. Also looks better then all the really baby-looking stuff

Looks great - but not that entertaining on its own,

The seat looks great in the living room - finally something that's not super babyish! It doesn't do much other than vibrate, so it's Ok as long as my son is being stimulated/entertained by something else (e.g., watching Baby Einstein, interacting with Mom/Dad). My son is content longer in a cheap little bouncy seat because his own actions bounce the seat & make the multiple dangling toys wave around.

Does the job, and not too annoying,
This review is from: Fisher-Price Zen Collection Infant Seat (Baby Product)
Unlike other baby bouncers, we were drawn to the color and look of this product. We are pleased with its aesthetics, as well as its performance. The 'vibrate' setting works wonders to keep my baby sleeping longer! The nature sounds and the musical settings are also nice... not annoying like some that you hear on other baby accessories.
The only critique I have is of the dangling toy (dragonfly?). It only swivels 90 degrees to one side. Also, my baby has virtually ZERO interest in the toy... so I'm convinced that it's there just for looks.

I was hesitant to buy this because of the price. I am one to look for great quality at a great price.
This product was the cheapest here on amazon (go amazon!)BUT the product itself, while looking great and being VERY portable,Didn't get the job done. My 4.5 month old wasn't entertained at all in this. And he hardly slept on it as the vibration modes were not strong enough. The songs were very relaxing but were tailored more for adults in my opinion. Like stuff I hear when I go get a massage at the spa. Had to return it because I couldn't see spending this much for something that just didn't fit the bill. Ended up staying with the good old fashioned 20 dollar regular bouncer with music and vibration options. |
