5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun
I got this for my seven-month old and he immediately loved it. It took him no time to learn how to press the blue handle down and get one of the peek-a-rounds gumballs to come out. The top only has room for four or five of the peek-a-rounds (it comes with four: teddy bear, candy, lollipop and ring), so I had to stand by and continuously put more on the top as he...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for really young
This is a good toy for a baby under 1, because all they have to be able to do it sit up. Once they figure out how it works, and as they get older, they don't spend as much time with it, though. My 15 month-old will push the button once and then go on to something else.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun, April 8, 2005

I got this for my seven-month old and he immediately loved it. It took him no time to learn how to press the blue handle down and get one of the peek-a-rounds gumballs to come out. The top only has room for four or five of the peek-a-rounds (it comes with four: teddy bear, candy, lollipop and ring), so I had to stand by and continuously put more on the top as he pressed the handle. Whenever the handle is pressed, the gumball machine plays a short tune. It also has a switch to turn the songs off or control the volume. There is a yellow turn handle at the front that makes a clicking noise when turned. My son really likes that too. One reviewer said this handle was hollow and dangerous. Mine is not hollow, so perhaps it was changed (for the better!). One thing I don't like about this toy is that it doesn't have a very solid base; my son easily, and frequently tips it over. That doesn't seem to detract from his fun though.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun, even for older siblings! Maybe MORE for them..., July 23, 2005

I loved the look of this toy! What a great idea---little balls with toys inside, much like the Peek-a-Blocks, but round, and a toy gum machine to put them in! My baby was not quite as excited, however. She figured out quickly how to push the lever, but didn't really seem to put it all together to be interested in a ball rolling out, or in putting a ball in. That might come along---it's a lot of steps for a baby to follow. She likes the sound it makes when the lever is pushed, and how we all clap when she figures out how to push it, but it's her 7 year old brother who plays the most with this! He loves seeing how many balls he can fit in the top, and watching them roll out. That's great, because WATCHING this at work entertains the baby a lot, and that's a great thing in a baby toy.

Although it's not a flaw of the toy, if you buy extra balls to use with this, there is not really any storage room for them, and if you have a house like mine, balls do tend to roll away! They also get easily flung by babies, and this seems like one of the toys that will someday end up being without accessories---just the machine. Perhaps most houses are more organized than mine...

Overall, a lot of fun, a good value and another well thought out FP toy.

My daughter loves this toy. She figured out how to use it in a couple days. However, it's top heavy, so it falls over very easily and has squashed my babys hands on more than one occasion. It should of had a stronger or wider base.

My 7 month old son got this as a Christmas present and I was worried he wouldn't catch on to the release lever. He learned very quickly how to put the balls in and then press the lever to release them all on his own. Great product!

We got this toy as a Christmas present when our son was three months old. He is now a year and is still enchanted with it. We originally used to have him watch it to hold his attention during tummy time. His interaction with it has increased as his motor skills developed. He loves the gumball machine and the balls work as a separate toy since they are a great size for little hands and bang together very well. I highly recommend this product.

We just got this toy for my son for his first birthday and everyone loves it! The balls themselves are way cute, and the gumball machine is adorable as well. My 4 year old dauhgter calls it a toilet though, because its round with a hole and can be "flushed" lol. This toy also stores easily and the music it plays doesnt sound like nails on a blackboard like some toys we have had. Definatly a good buy.

My 7 month old daughter LOVES this toy but she did get injured playing with it. The yellow lever on the front of the toy is hollow and she got her finger stuck behind the lever and managed to turn it with the other hand and got her finger and hand stuck in the toy. I called Fisher Price and they want me to mail the toy back and they will send me a refund but my daughter really loves this toy so for now I stuffed the hollow part with some tissues. Just be careful and don't leave your child unattended with this toy!

We bought this for our 6 month old. It took her no time at all to figure out how to work the blue handle to play the music. She also was able to pick up the roll-around-balls pretty easily. She loves this toy. We do plan on getting more roll-around-balls for Christmas as I have to sit and put the balls back in as she plays.

This is a special toy! My grand-daughter, Cameron loves this toy. I bought this for her when she was 9 mo. old, We love the fact that the balls can interchange with the Dragon toy, made by the same company. At first, she just laughed at the fact she could make the balls move through the toy, but now at 14 months, all she wants to do is see how fast she can make it work, and move them to the Dragon toy! This is built very good!!! Quality product!!! ANNE MURRAY

My only complaint is that it is rather loud - not the music, but the balls themselves rolling down. My 5-month old loves lights and music, and although she can't push down the handle herself - she grins and giggles which is what I was looking for!
