This little thermometer has brought my efficiencies up when brewing by 10%. It's absolutely accurate, great for feedback, waterproof (most that promise this aren't) and takes the heat without missing a degree.

I can' speak for it's laboratory usefulness - I'm not a scientist. I'm just a guy who needed an accurate, waterproof and boil-survivable thermometer. This is it. Buy two - they're cheap.
