This review is for the Fisher Scientific Traceable Refrigerator/Freezer Alarm Thermometer, Single range: -40° to +50°.
I work in a medical office where we have separate a refrigerator and freezer for storing vaccines. For this purpose, the temperature has to be kept in a narrow range.
I bought one for each of them. Previously, we were using mercury thermometers and had to open the freezer and refrigerator to check the temperatures, which we did twice per day. They came with a vial of liquid which the temperature probe was already set up in -- no assembly needed by me. They also came with an AA battery.
With these Fishers, we don't have to open the doors to check the temperatures which is faster, more convenient as we don't have to look at or touch the cold thermometers and minimizes the temperature fluctuations due to warm air rushing in.
The Fishers came with calibration certificates so we are reasonably confident of their accuracy. We also noticed the old thermometers were off by up to 10°F. This was alarming and made me glad we got the Fishers.
These Fishers can also have an alarm set if the temperature goes below and/or above a certain temperature.
They also keep track of the lowest and highest temperatures attained during a time period.
Overall, they seem accurate, set up was easy, and ongoing use was easy.

We recently lost a freezer worth of food due to a circuit breaker tripping. In an effort to prevent the same thing from happening again, we made several changes to the circuit load, installed a battery powered power-out alarm on the outlet, and added this thermometer which also includes an audible alarm. Programming the unit was trivially simple and it came with both velcro and magnetic strips for attaching the receiver unit to the exterior of the freezer. We ended up using the magnet which held firmly. The thermometer sending unit (bottle) is very small and easily tucked away inside the freezer. The cord connecting sender to receiver was extremely thin and didn't cause any significant displacement of the freezer door gasket. After installing the sender, the thermometer calibrated itself to the interior freezer temperature within about 20 minutes and the reading matched the temperature of a mercury thermometer I used to check calibration. I tested the alarm portion and it's certainly audible although not very loud. You can certainly easily hear it in the same room and from a nearby room with the door open. However, the alarm is not audible through a metal interior door from our garage nor can we hear it from the room immediately above the garage. If you intend to rely on an audible alert if your freezer goes out of temperature bounds, the output level may not be sufficient on its own depending on your distance from the alarm. Overall, we're very pleased with the unit.

I bought 2 for our office, they were easy to figure out how to use, easy to program. Not having to open the refrigerator and freezer to get the temp was a plus. They are accurate, we had to adjust the freezer several times to get the temp right. I would recommend this to any office.
