At less than 4 inches long and 1/4 inch in diameter, these Stowaway space pens are easy to carry round. When you open it up, it is 5 inches long and easy enough to write with. Unlike most other pens, the ink lasts for years without drying up or leaking and always writes smoothly. The clip is kind of pointless in a pen this small. Look for the clipless style for a dollar or so less. The $6 price at Amazon is reasonable. Only real con to this pen is that it is easy to lose.

STOWAWAY PEN,

This is a Fisher Space Pen. As such, it will write anywhere at anytime on dang near anything. I've had other models and have been 100% happy with them which is why I'm so surprised that this one falls so far short...FIRST, this pen is NOT all steel and brass construction!!! The cartridge may be metal but the body of this pen is 100% PLASTIC. In addition, it is SEALED, you CANNOT replace the cartridge!!! At $10 that's a little much for what is essentially a one-time-throwaway pen. Save your money and buy the REFILLABLE Fisher Space Pen.
