I bought 2 packages (total of 4 lbs.) of frozen lobster meat from Maryland Crab Express. According to the description from Amazon, this product contains lobster claws and knuckles meat as shown in the picture. I got both packages a week later. I was shocked that neither packages had any label with information like net weight, the expiration date, its contents, where they came from, their nutritional value etc… Furthermore, looking through the plastic bags, I did not see even one claw or knuckle of a lobster in either package. Instead, they look like ground beef. Quite frankly, the packages looked really gross. I opened one package and there was a foul odor like dead fish. I contacted the seller directly and told them about their poor products. I was told they had to re-package the product for safety arrival and I should enjoy the products.

I also contacted Amazon many times to complain and wanted my money back. Needless to say, Amazon gave me the run around and never gave me my money back. So now, I am out $114.00 for good. I would never buy any kind of frozen lobster meat from this seller and especially through Amazon.

The seller (Fisherman's Fleet) was excellent, and I would order from him again.
But the lobster in itself was disappointing. I found the taste to be mediocre, bland and ultimately disappointing.

I bought this item and it arrived thawed. This is the cavalier attitude towards food safety that I got when I contacted them.

"please do not fear, the lobster meat is fine ..it was shipped out frozen and will slow thaw during delivery...the package is still cool when it arrives you can refrigerate and eat with-in two days ..just wash the lobster meat with cold water..and put back in the refrigerator .before serving,.. thank you."

Don't buy this if you want to eat a safe product because these guys obviously don't know anything about food safety!!!

Received product thawed, was afraid to eat it. There was one small bag of ice in the container that was supposed to last up to six days and it did not!

This lobster is the best, the claw and knuckle is the most succulent and that is all that was incuded in this wonderful package. It was so much lobster my wife and I could not finish it over a few days.

Purchased the two pound lobster meat packages for Christmas and was so disappointed. There were so few pieces, it was hard to tell if we had tuna fish or lobster. The meat was shredded/stringy, so it was difficult to get a sense of what the heck we were eating. I was crushed, because this was a gift to my family. Won't be ordering this again. If anyone is thinking about ordering this, keep looking at other vendors.

I ordered from Maryland Blue Crab Express. The product arrived still frozen, it was packaged excellently considering it went across the country in the middle of summer. However, first issue, this was NOT Maine Crab Meat, it was a product of Canada, not Maine. Secondly, while it arrived frozen, the shape of the frozen product just screamed that it's been defrosted at some point and refrozen. That might have accounted for the mediocre flavor of the product. There were a few claws in the package, but it was a majority of leg meat, not even knuckle meat, so mostly kinda mushy. It was decent, but only really suitable for applications where the lobster is way more hidden. I think for the price, I"ll drive over to the local market and pay for a fresh lobster instead.
