This review is from: Fishing the Connecticut and Rhode Island Coasts (Paperback)
This is an excellent book for fishermen and even non-fishermen who want to enjoy Long Island Sound. I was new to New England when I bought it, and it helped a lot. I would use it in conjunction with two excellent Web sites describing shore access run by these two states. Google "Connecticut shore access" and the same for Rhode Island. One important update to this book: Connecticut has adopted a saltwater fishing license at a punitive price already in effect, and Rhode Island will probably have one for 2010, although reasonably priced. Solution: find out what out-of-state licenses CT accepts, and buy that one.
