Editorial Reviews

From the Back Cover

"Want to go from angling obscurity to immortality? This book tells you how. From in-depth interviews to record-setting tips, Fishing Fame covers all the bases."--Lenny Rudow, Technical Editor and "The Ultimate Angler" of BOATING Magazine. "This book is a complete nuts-and-bolts instruction manual for anyone who has ever dreamed of landing a record fish. And, because of the many interviews with record-holders, it's also very readable."--Frank Sargeant, Outdoor Editor of the Tampa Tribune. "Not only is this book packed with useful tips on how to get yourself into the record books, it's also full of great fishing tales. This is a 'must read' for every angler who's dreamed of glory."--Louisa Rudeen, Managing Editor of Motor Boating & Sailing. Hook the big ones and land your name in the record books. Fishing Fame is your personal guide to the pursuit of record-breaking fish, both freshwater and saltwater. It outlines the International Game Fish Association (IGFA) rules and tackle restrictions... and provides heartbreaking, real-life accounts of technicalities that turned trophy catches into fish dinners. Find out how a simple, inexpensive substitution in gear can put your name on the IGFA honor roll. Discover why women--now about one third of all anglers--have an advantage. And learn why the next angler who breaks the all-tackle record ofr largemouth bass stands to earn a million dollars!

5.0 out of 5 stars THE premier guide on how to catch a World Record fish!, April 13, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Fishing Fame! How to Catch a World Record Fish (Paperback)
In "Fishing Fame", Jeanne Craig has obviously done her homework. Rather than preaching from her own soapbox on what to do and not to do, Craig interviewed hundreds of anglers who already hold world records in everything from bluefish to blue marlins. It's light reading, but it's also packed with hands-on, how-to tips and techniques the pros use to land the big ones. Basically, Fishing Fame has done all your homework for you. Now all you have to do is get out there and wet a line. As a matter of fact, you might as well bring the book and bone up in the fighting chair while you're waiting for your next big hookup.
