Further development of many of the world's fisheries is dependent on improved harbours and landing facilities and better marketing and distribution systems. This congress, by analysing the existing framework, showed where future improvements should take place. The difference in requirements between developing countries is particularly well covered. Administrators and representative bodies of both catching and marketing sectors of the fishing industry as well as civil engineers, scientists and economists engaged in this field will especially benefit from a study of this book. The book contains summaries in French and Spanish.
