they have a serrated edge which leaves undesirable markings on the metal sheeting. The plus is that I used them on 24 gauge metal sheeting and they were comfortable and easy to use and maneuvered better than I expected on curves. My critique for Amazon is that their descriptions are often vague - or perhaps the description that the seller gives to Amazon is vague and I sometimes don't know exactly what I am going to get, what it's usability parameters are, i.e. what gauge metal can it cut, are the blades serrated, etc. If it weren't for the serrated blades, I would give them a 4 or a 5.

I like these snips. They worked pretty well at first. I felt like they lost their edge rather quickly. Also, they don't do well for a left handed person like myself. Good product, but could be improved.

I enjoy using these things around the house when you don't want to ruin your scissors or use your nice shears and dull the blades. They lock so they don't jab you putting them in your pockets. All and all nice snips for random products around the house.

great product, however, they are a bit small. I should have ordered something a bit bigger. I will follow up as the product gets more use.

I've had several pairs of these for a while and they're some of the best scissors I've ever used, but the last 2 I've gotten from Amazon have been defective -- they don't stay closed. The orange clasp doesn't extend far enough into the metal notch that it's supposed to sit in to keep the scissors closed, so they quickly come apart. Hopefully just a bad batch.

Great pair of snips - comfortable and with a very aggressive blade. The only downside is that the blade locking mechanism is very stiff and somewhat awkward to use.

Used these cutting a plastic car bumper today for a tow hitch install. Made very easy work of what could have been a difficult task. I reach for these snips way more than I thought I would. I have used them to cut rope, tubing, leather, thin metal, cardboard and plastics. Very easy to control and the teeth help the snips to "bite" into tough materials rather than slide around on the material like some blades will.

A must have for the shop.

I use these scissors in my sewing/craft room because they will cut almost anything and stay sharp. They are easy on my hands and stay closed with the clip in place.

These are really great! I haven't used them on metal yet, but they work very well on everything else. Comfortable to use, with a nice action. The only problem is that the lock is on the wrong side (left handed model?).

I purchased these to cut 22G sheet brass. I was able to easily cut curves and whatnot for jewelry. They leave a slightly serrated edge on the metal, which I liked. If you don't like it, you can easily sand it off. Would definitely buy Fiskars again. I've always been happy with this brand. The cutters are bigger than I expected, and SUPER STURDY. You could run them over with a truck and they'd be fine. Wouldn't be surprised if they lasted 20+ years. Don't hesitate to purchase them. You can't find a better shear anywhere for this price.
