Great school scissors!,

This review is from: Fiskars 12-94237097 Kids 5-Inch Softgrip Pointed-Tip Scissors, Colors May Vary (Kitchen)
I have bought these scissors almost every year for school and can't say enough good about them. They're so durable but more important, they fit very well into small hands and are much easier to control than some other cheaper brands. They last and last, hold up under extreme kids' play, and just provide a very good gripping surface for children to be able to craft they way they'd like. If you're looking for something to develop good coordination, be sure to try these scissors - they're just awesome and worth the extra money! Highly recommend!

This is the pair of scissors our seven year old has in her pencil box at her desk in the classroom. They are comfortable and are easy to use.
These are much easier to use and nicer than some of the ones we have bought in the past. I highly recommend them! (It says colors may vary, and we got what was shown, I really, really, really wish we could have gotten pink, purple, or a girl themed pair!)

I've bought quite a few pairs of Fiskars scissors, and still have a pair (though where they are at this exact moment isn't quite known) that are probably 20 years old. They are the perfect size for small hands. The more recent pair I bought had rounded tips and were great. Very sharp and my daughter was able to cut fabric for a while. I thought I would get her these ones since they had a pointed tip, which makes it easier to cut out stuff from the middle of the paper, they are harder to find in stores, and are similar to my older pair. These are not of the same quality. The blade does not go all the way into the plastic and thus you don't get any leverage while cutting thus the scissors seem to bend while you are cutting. Don't even bother trying to cut cardboard because it won't work. Overall these are not comparable to my very old ones, and are not as good as the rounded tip ones either.
