This is one of the best shop shears/heavy duty scissors available. I've owned it for past three years, cutting everything from plastic bubble packaging to trimming grass on my lawn (this is better than any other grass shears available on the market). Heavy duty and cuts everything with ease, comfortable to hold. Does not slip when cutting thick materials as the blades are serrated and thick. Blades may be separated by the pivot bolt, which allows me to clean the blades and remove grass residue once a month. Ordered a second one, but the one I've been using is just as sharp after using it frequently over the years. This scissors and the Fiscars garden knife (#7079) are my favorite garden tools, allowing me to trim and edge manually on my 1/4 acre lot. Though I have power lawn tools, I enjoy the quiet and traditional method of doing the detail work (for a guy in mid 30's). Would highly recommend!

These bad boys cut through just about anything but do a great job with paper too.

Great scissors! I am buying these pair because my husband and I argue over whose they are and where they should be stored. In my laundry or his tool bench? Now we'll have two. I have had my first pair for years so I know they are durable, and they are precise enough for typical paper cutting too. And they can also not be easily damaged by small wires either (like tough packaging). Great utility tool.

I have had a Fiskars shop shears in the past and liked it. This one has a tough, sharp and long set of blades. It does not have the notch for rope, etc. However, the blades are serrated so they don't slip.

They are good for cutting up a chicken, a steak, a wire, a tin can, aluminum flashing, all kinds of rope and cords, a garden hose. Very handy tool. I have about 5 pair.

These are worth whatever they are going for now at amazon

Quality product, they are a bit larger than standard scissors but not obnoxiously big. I use them as everyday shears and kitchen shears, they have cut everything I have tried. Paper, packaging, herbs, chicken, those hard plastic packages that Costco uses... It cut them all with ease. Really glad I bought them, thanks to all the previous reviewers.

The scissors perform just as I wanted, that is cutting with ease most anything you might run into during the coarse of the day.

I've been using these for my home remodel and they go through everything like butter. I was especially surprised with how easy it went through the fiberglass insulation, which last time I tried to cut with scissors was just a mess. I've even cut through 3/8 - 1/2" plant stems/branches with ease.

They do what they claim they will do. These are good all-prupose scissors that will fit medium to large hands, and will provide good service in the kitchen or elsewhere in the normal home. Fit to cut cord, cardboard and similar materials.
