Fiskars has a knack for not only sharpening their blades, but for affixing both pieces of the scissors in a way that they don't wobble or cut poorly. Whether you buy them new or use them for years, these babies are right on the mark. They cut a crisp, clean line through paper and can be used for fabric, hair or just about anything else that needs cutting. If you cut hair and/or fabric, however, it's a good idea to have a different pair for each thing you're cutting. Scissors dedicated to cutting fabric won't always do well on paper or hair and vice versa.

The best fully left-handed scissors I've ever seen. Typical excellent Fiskars scissors - and fully left-handed!

I have purchased many pairs of this brand, not because they have worn out or have broken but because I wanted to replace any that I need to use with these. I have several pairs at home and replaced the ones at work at my own expense. There are no better that I have found. They are sturdy, fit your hand, stay as sharp as they were when new forever, and eliminate all those annoying snags and stalls of inferior scissors. So if your scissors have any problems at all and you need to reduce just one source of frustration at work or home, just get these scissors, they don't cost that much.

Do not buy these scissors unless you just want them for cutting things open that do not have to be precise, like hard to get into packaging. The only thing left handed about these scissors is the handle. The blades are the same as right handed scissors. So if you try and cut on a line, you can't see the line, the blade is in the way. You end up cutting about 1/8 of an inch away from the line. I am an artist and they are useless for me as I need to be exact. I have 2 old Fiskar left handed scissors and they are true lefty scissors. I compared them to these new ones and saw the problem about the position of the blades. Unfortunately, they are dull so my only option is try and get them sharpened or try one of the other brands. I called Fiskars and they told me they are aware of the problem with these scissors but these are the only ones they make now. In fact, the guy at customer service, told me he gets complaints all day long about them. I can't figure out these good reviews on Amazon unless they are by people who just want to cut things open and aren't trying to cut on a line.

Bought this for my left-handed wife who was both very surpised & pleased with how comfortable they are for her to use in addition to how well they cut paper. This one's a winner all the way around.

These are the greatest scissors I've ever used. I never had a pair of left-handed scissors before. What a treat to use these! No more numb thumb from using ones for "righties"!

The rating of four out of five stars (instead of a full five stars) is really just my own fault, as follows: Both my husband and daughter are left-handed, so I thought buying a pair of left-handed scissors would be a good idea. But although the scissors are quite nice, they are girl-sized (ladies size 7 glove). I will save them for my daughter who is off at college and purchase another pair, this time being very mindful that they be large enough for a burly guy with large hands. So, if you buy these, be mindful of the size of the handles if you are buying them for a large-handed leftie.

I bought some Westcott scissors (all that was available locally) - what a mistake. Went back to Amazon and ordered Fiskars. They are so superior to the others that they should be listed in a separate category. They are properly engineered, sharp, solid but not too heavy, and they last forever. A great product.

These appear like many of the orange-handled Fiskars we've seen for decades. They don't have the authoritative snip of older, heavier fabric-cutting shears but are adequate for multiple-usage purposes and are a reasonably priced choice.
