5.0 out of 5 stars Duct Tape Crafting, May 29, 2007

I use the Fiskars Nonstick 8" Bent Scissor and the Fiskars Nonstick 5" Scissor for crafting with duct tape. There isn't much that sticks more obnoxiously than duct tape but these Fiskars nonstick scissors snip right through the tape as if it were nothing more than paper. Try getting a few straight cuts through duct tape with standard scissor if you dare.

Very little tape sticks to these scissors at all even on large projects and you can very easily clean any sticky with a quick rag swipe or a single dab of clean tape. Try that with standard scissors and you will be sorely disappointed and probably quite frustrated (at least I was). These nonstick scissors are a life saver. Leave it to Fiskars to come up with the smart solution!

The 8" bent scissors are very ergonomic and are the size and shape of the good sewing scissors many ladies (and gentleman who sew) don't let anybody touch - perfect for clean cuts on just about any medium to large project and great for just about any standard cutting job.

The 5" scissors are fantastic for detail cuts and small projects. Both scissors are ergonomic and your hands don't get tired quickly with a lot of cutting with either pair - though I wouldn't use the 5" pair for large cutting jobs.

I am considering purchasing another pair of these Fiskars Nonstick 8" Bent Scissor for general kitchen use. What a pain always having to clean sticky stuff off my standard kitchen scissors. These are far more durable and easier to clean.

Thank you for a fantastic solution, Fiskars!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fine Fiskar Scissors, January 6, 2007

These scissors work wonderfully. I had two pairs of large scissors in my kitchen - one with a broken point and neither cut well. Having used Fiskar scissors before outside my home and finding them great, I decided to buy two to replace my old ones. The Fiskars not only cut smoothly, but since they are in the kitchen, they sometimes get sticky and dirty from opening packages of sauce, cutting tape, etc. These scissors have a coating on the blades that enable them to be cleaned easily with just a damp sponge, paper towel or brush and a drop of detergent, and they are like new. No rusty hinges or screws that make cutting a chore like my old ones.

Fiskars Nonstick 8" Bent Scissor I just received these scissors and I LOVE them! I cut tons of duct tape for a project I was creating, and they were fabulous. I'm ordering more pairs now for myself, my daughter and her mother-in-law. I am going to bring these scissors to my next Embroidery Club meeting to recommend to all.

Scissors are nice and sharp. With the non-stick surface cutting tape is a breeze. I would recommend for any sticky cutting.

4.0 out of 5 stars Scissors with 8" bent handle a hit!, November 28, 2011
This review is from: Fiskars 8-Inch Non-Stick Bent Scissors (Kitchen)
I purchased this scissors mainly for the ergonomic handle. My mother-in-law still does crafts and this scissor works well for her. She is the best critique of scissors in all venues as she has sewn and crafted for over sixty years and she has seen a Fiskar scissors or two!

4.0 out of 5 stars NonStick Scissors, November 2, 2010

Scissors work pretty well, could be a little stronger especially at the tip if cutting multiple pieces of paper. Nonstick surface is excellent so adhesive will not gunk up on blade.

We had a sad removal service for my 25 year old Fiskars. Even though I could not estimate how many cuts the old pair made I feel certain it was a big bunch of cuts that went from paper to plastics to heavy cardboard to dog hairs and many others. The old ones were dismissed to the garage and the new ones took Center Drawer. After using them for several days they have every beneficial factor the old ones had with the exception these are Nonstick and Bent. I don't think Nonstick scissors were around in 1985. What's amazing is that nonstick is not just a fancy name. These are nonstick. The Bent portion is a must for most users. When I have a large piece of paper or cloth to cut the bent adds a positive benefit to getting 'er done. To call these just scissors is accurate but they are scissors with an attitude of cutting whatever is thrown at them and finishing the job without a snag.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works as advertised, February 4, 2009

Scissors are great and work as advertised. Cutting action is smooth and tight. One question: with the non-stick coating, how do you sharpen them? Maybe you don't need to? In the meantime, they work well.
