This pruner cuts pretty well but the big problem which we noticed is that it is so easy to painfully pinch your fingers when you are cutting. I was disappointed in this tool.

I'm a woman with medium size hands - I'm right handed. It's a bit big & I can't lock & unlock the orange knob without using my other hand. I believe if you were left handed you'd be able to the way the orange knob is designed. It cuts hard wood like it says which I love! Great for old woody rosemary.

This review is from: Fiskars 9111 Loop Handle Bypass Pruner with Carabiner Clip (Lawn & Patio)
I bought a pair of these to clear the brush around my land. At first I noticed the handles flex a bit and worried the product might break but after a bit more use realized the handles flex to absorb the impact and cushion the grip. The carabiner is larger and easy to clip to mostly anything and helps keep the tool at hand. The locking mechanism is very durable and easy to operate with gloves on. I have second pair of ratcheting pruners and I prefer to use these more. I think their a good value and would recommend them.Update. After a few months hard abuse I was able to break the handle off these nippers. Ooops. So I have now purchased a professional model from fiscars. It seems these are only good for "light duty".
