I can't say enough good things about these shears. They are sturdy, well-balanced in your hands, and are very easy to use. I bought them for myself and then gave a pair to my niece who is also very impressed with them. Neither one of us is super strong and we find the shears not so heavy that they would tire you out after a few minutes. The grips on the handles seem to be quality-made and not the type that will slough/peel off after a few uses. Blades are sharp and cut right through even thick overgrown branches on shrubs (uh oh, I'm telling on myself!)

Looking at other raving reviews, I tried this shears - Twice. The first I received had the last couple of inches not closing - so will not cut properly. I thought it might be an odd one out - so I returned and asked for a replacement. When I got the replacement, it had the same problem. The last one inch or so of the shears will not close - I find it hard to believe that thats the standard design. What purpose could this possibily achieve. I lose the ability to nip small twigs as the tips do not close. And I also tend to lose a couple of inches of cutting power in a 10 inch long blade. Thats a major drawback to me. I have seen only one reviewer who had the same problem. I wonder if others faced the same issue but are okay with that or did I receive a defective product - Twice! I am waiting for my refund after returning the second shears - dont want to deal with it anymore.

I bought these shears to trim my front yard shrubs. The holly and boxwoods need shaping. I had been using traditional bypass pruning shears to painstakingly clip each stem. I am of petite stature and can shape up my holly and boxwoods in short order with these power-lever shears. The blades are easy to clean with a damp cloth. Storage is not an issue. I like the self-sharpening feature.

I could not be more pleased. Outstanding quality shears at a great price! These cut everything I have worked with, quick and easy; these are sharp and comfortable use! It is obvious the quality is high and I do believe these will work for many years here. Highly recommend them.

The 10-inch size is smaller than I expected (yes it says 10 inches, but I should have gotten out a ruler to know the size I was buying. It just takes more strokes that shears that are larger. Outstanding quality construction--solid. I bet I'll have these for a lifetime. Ergonomically kind. I recommend them to others, particlarly if you only have a few plants to trip. If you have a huge hedge row, these are too small.

My boyfriend, an arborist, got these to replace a smaller pair of shears I'd been using. I used the new Fiskars shears for three hours and was thrilled! The next day, I eagerly went to use the shears again and discovered the rivet holding the two blades in position was missing. At 5'2" and 110 pounds, I doubt I overused or misused the shears in three hours' use.
Phooey! The shears were awesome that first day!!!
I will update the review after I see how easily the shears are replaced.

Looked at reviews online before I bought this product, and, although the performance of the product was almost universally praised, an alarming number of reviewers complained of failures (material/workmanship). Against my better judgment, I purchased a pair. They worked great 4 a couple of hours! Cut like a dream, and the rubber bumper that provides cushion was a welcome addition. Then, at about the 2 hr mark the washer popped off the bottom nut and the blades started loosing their alignment. Seems like the issues persist. If u/r lookin for a pair of "disposable" trimmers, look no further, but, as for me, I still have a few miles of trail to clear, so I guess I'm gonna have to test their "lifetime" warranty!

These are very good for cutting hedges, they are well made and easy to use

Superb quality, design and functionality. Fiskars does not build $6.99 junk. You pay a little more and you get a lot for your money - the product works and works and works. That is value. I started buying Fiskars' products many years ago. They have served me well and, most importantly, they work well even beyond what they are designed and engineered to do. Try their products. I think that you will be both surprised and pleased with the quality and clever engineering that is their hallmark.
