4.0 out of 5 stars Fiskars 94046974 Kangaroo Container (10 Gallon)
I like this bag a lot, especially this 10 gal size. I have been using these bags professionally in my garden business for over 5 years. They are just the right size for emptying into the large paper bags that can be left at the roadside for municipal pick-up. They are small enough to take into a flower bed without crushing plants and light enough to fill and lift...

2.0 out of 5 stars great idea needs improved execution
The idea of a pop-up bag is great, and the button down tabs also excellent. While others complain of the handle pulling out, my experience was that the buttons ripped out of the seam after only a couple of uses. Eventually, the bottom fabric wore out leaving the springs exposed. Would be great to have a durable version--double or triple sown seams--of this item...

They are just the right size for emptying into the large paper bags that can be left at the roadside for municipal pick-up. They are small enough to take into a flower bed without crushing plants and light enough to fill and lift without hurting ones back. My crew and I carry and use about 6 collapsable bags every day throughout the growing season. After about 3 years the the stitching rots, the wire loop pierces the bottom and starts to unravel - a design fault. So I buy new bags.

I think I bought my original container about 4 years ago. Since then, my wife and I have really put this container through its paces. We are both avid gardeners, so it has hauled away its share of weeds, helped move dirt from one plce to another, carried fertilizer, and helped move piles of leaves from the yard to the leaf pile.

This spring it began to show some wear on the bottom, so I decided to get a new one for both of us just so we would be prepared. Guess what? Now I have two news containers, but the old one is still going strong.

We like our container so much that we have given several as Christmas presents, etc..

No homeowner should be without one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, August 31, 2009

Works great. We use it inside our little camper as a trash can. A standard tall kitchen garbage bag fits perfectly. At the end of the trip, it collapses to almost nothing. Easy to wash out and store.

1.0 out of 5 stars Fiskars Kangaroo 10-Gallon Gardening Container #940, December 23, 2007
This review is from: Fiskars 9404 Kangaroo 10-Gallon Gardening Container (Lawn & Patio)
Fiskars Kangaroo 10-Gallon Gardening Container #940 was terrible. It already had a bit of a tear when we received it. It lasted all of 4 days and then was unusable. It wasn't worth the money to even mail back for a refund.

5.0 out of 5 stars Versatile, May 23, 2002

The 10 gallon Kangaroo Container is so versatile. When I first saw it my first thought was a container to haul my weeds away while weeding. Light and easy to handle. But when I was potting my spring/summer plants in the outdoor pots I found that it was great for potting soil and easy to scoop from. When you're done rinse it out and fold it up!

I liked the large size container so much that I ordered the 10 gallon one too. It is handy for the leaves, twigs, and weeds that quickly become too much to hold in my hands. It is light weight so it is handy to carry everywhere.

This was a replacement for a previous pop-up bin that I wore out after years of hard use. I find this to be the perfect size for weeding and light pruning. Anything bigger would be too heavy by the time it was full. A larger version might be great for leaf collecting. It doesn't take up much room, so I don't feel a need to collapse it, but it's nice to know I can.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight, stowable, more agile than a wheelbarrow, April 10, 2008

Our local waste collection company provides greenwaste containers for us to recycle yard debris into compost -- good! But it's too much trouble to wheel the giant greenwaste containers around the redwoods to the other part of my yard. Even a wheelbarrow wouldn't fit very well.

No problem! Easily pop out this carrier to full size, fill with weeds and fallen redwood debris, and carry it back to the greenwaste container. I'm really glad I got this smaller 10 gallon size rather than the larger 30 gallon size, because the small one can be pretty easily carried all the way around the outside of the house when full.
