These are the absolute best kitchen shears/scissors I have ever used. I put them in the dishwasher at least once a week and I have used them for more than five years without any sign of wear. I really like that they come apart for washing because I often use them to cut the fat from meat and chicken.

I am here buying a new pair. Unfortunately, I had them apart and on the counter after having washed them. My cleaning lady came and saw them, thought that they were broken and threw them out!!! :-(

I am lost without them. I use them for cutting fat, meat and chicken, bags of dog food, food packages and anything else that needs strong scissors. I have looked at others (for example, the calphalon scissors in my gold box), but they don't look comfortable to use. I wouldn't use any other pair.

Mine must be an older model as the blades do not come apart, but these scissors have become my favorite all-around cutting utensil indoors and out. The notched area cuts bones and small branches, the blades dispatch those horrible plastic CD packages, it goes outdoors to serve as my favorite flower cutter and lightweight pruner.
Through all this the blades have remained razor sharp.

The sissors are the best. They will cut through chicken bones. Cut Roses and more. Anything I tried to cut these sissors did the job with ease. I enjoyed them so much I have miss placed them or one of my children borrowed them and did not return them so I am ordering another pair. I used them indoors & outdoors. I will find them eventually. One of the best features is they come apart for cleaning and they can go in the dishwasher.
