I have had many rakes of differing type.
I greatly enjoy my Fiskars scissors & various tools, so I bought one of these and the narrower one of similar design.

It is a JOY to hold with the sort of oblong section to the light, well balanced long handle. I'm amazed at how well the curved plastic 'fingers' work in getting at the LEAVES and not the dirt.

And the PRICE is incredible for what usefulness it offers!

Sweeps up leaves like no other rake I've used before - though unfortunately you still have to bag the leaves :)

COULD THIS BE THE BEST LEAF RAKE EVER?

Bought mine at LOWES a couple of years ago to replace another plastic-tined rake which I had been very pleased with. Was astounded at the comfort and effectiveness of the Fiskars rake vs. my old rake whose tines had been worn off. Loaned it to a neighbor - a recent college grad from one of the area's big engineering schools - very shortly later he had his own Fiskars!

Living in a veritable Druid's grove of various Quercus species, some of them with thin LIVE OAK type leaves, I have found this rake to be capable of gathering most of those with one pass.

Fiskars promotes this rake with the slogan:

TECHNICAL HI-LITES

1. TINES: are VERY sturdy and durable but you will need your garden rake to move big and/or damp piles of leaves

2. HANDLE: long enough for taller people but fine for shorter ones. The egg-shaped cross section allows much weight reduction yet provides great strength and it provides a level of comfort and fatigue-resistance that has to be experienced to be believed.

Bought this rake based on the reviews I read here. Best rake I have ever owned. I have had it for over a year and have left it out in the rain on occassion but it still works great.

This is another innovative and quality product by Fiskar. The rake is very light with a flexible clog free design, perfect for gently scraping your lawns clean without ripping up the grass or raking away your garden mulch. The design of the rake also allows you to use it at more angles so you don't need to throw the rake ahead of you and pull it diagonally against the lawn like classic curved v-shaped rakes. The user experience is analogous to a indoor broom rather than a big stiff leaf rake.

The handle has an innovative oblong design which fits perfectly into your hand and helps you to maintain rake orientation, particularly in gloved hands.

I have found that the orange sleeve has tendency to slide up the handle, but it's too long to come completely off unless you are really determine to remove it.

Overall it's the best yard rake you're going to find!

Best leaf rake out there.Love the long teardrop-shaped handle.Very comfortable.The head/plastic tines have held up over the last few years.No breakage. Works very well for a chore not many enjoy..

The rake is light which I like but the only complaint
I have is that it is not made for pinestraw. Within a few
rakes it clogged, I spent more time unclogging the rake.

It's not a miracle tool. It's just a good quality rake. It has a long handle which is nice if your tall. It's also light weight.

My wife is a metal leaf rake killer! I usually have to buy a new one each year. I have tried other plastic rakes and they predictable break in a short time. I purchased my first Fiskars rake at home improvement store on a whim. I could not get over how comfortable and light this rake is, further, it is designed to not "clog up" and contours to the ground beautifully getting all leaves and even pine needles with ease. My wife tried this new rake as the old metal leaf rake was so bent out of shape it was virtually useless. She LOVED this new rake! I went to the big box store to get another Fiskars rake and they no longer stocked it. I did a google search and up came AMAZON as a source. I bought two of these for two reasons, 1: I am so impressed with this rake I feared they may become a problem to locate in the future,but I doubt I'll need to replace the ones I have, and 2: By placing an order over $25.00 I got free shipping! We have a very large yard with 77 35'+ Colorado Blue Spruce trees, however all the leaves I get in my yard are blown in from my neighbors yards. Trust me, as someone that now owns 3 of these rakes you will never go back to the old style metal or cheap plastic rakes of the past!

I liked this product fine till it broke. After that, not so much. It's really annoying trying to gather leaves with a busted rake.

Of course it is not unusual for a rake to give out after just a couple seasons--especially when its user is as massively strong as I am--but I was hoping for better. The plastic span, above the tines, developed a crack one day. Duct tape kept it going another few weeks but of course the crack grew with use and today it just snapped in two.

I've generally liked Fiskars products in the past, but seems like they reached a little past their engineers' abilities with this one.
