For the price and performance, this trimmer is worth the investment. I was a little leary of buying it at OfficeMax, given it was about $20 more than I was planning on spending. After going through 100, five piece wedding invitations though, this trimmer held up to the test. We haven't had to change the blade yet. Also, the cutting strip can be rotated to each of its four sides before needing replacement; what a great idea! I was a bit disappointed by how flimsy the entire unit feels, but as long as you have it on a solid surface, it provides plenty of surface resistance to give a solid, smooth cut. One drawback is that I wish it had a guide on the cutting surface itself to show where the blade would come across. I had a little difficulty placing the paper and wound up having to incorrectly guess a few times. This is a small complaint. Overall, I would recommend this product.

This is a fantastic trimmer- I love it. Have never had a problem with the cutter not cutting all the way to the end. It will cut 2 layers of cardstock easily (at least mine does), it cuts thin chipboard (cereal box thickness), and you can get blades for it in bulk at local fabric stores. You can also get different blade styles- deckle, wavy, pinking, etc. I have had this trimmer for about 10 years and would buy it again in a heartbeat. It's my ONLY trimmer!

I bought my first Fiskars cutter about 10 years ago and bought a second one this spring because I couldn't find replacement blades and I had worn a very deep groove under the cutting head from years of hard use. It is easy to use, cuts multiple sheets and held up to heavy use. I may not have looked as hard as I could have to find new cutting blades, but had definitely gotten my money's worth and did not regret buying a new model (essentially unchanged from the older one).
