Product Description

Product Description

Fiskars Softgrip Garden Multi-Snip is as versatile as it is tough. It features stainless-steel, precision-ground blades perfect for making quick snips when deadheading flowers or doing other light pruning tasks in the garden. A razor-sharp blade offers use as an all-purpose utility knife when opening fertilizer bags or burlap sacks, and a serrated blade makes sawing through twine or light rope a breeze. It even includes a notch for quick and easy wire cutting without damaging the blades. The ultra-tough DuraFrame handle provides lasting durability and features a Softgrip coating to improve grip and reduce hand fatigue. A safety lock keeps the blades closed when not in use, and a sheath with belt clip makes it easy to keep our Softgrip Garden Multi-Snip with you as you work. For right- or left-handed users.

From the Manufacturer

It slices! It dices! It washes the dishes and makes your bed. Well, not quite. But when it comes to garden chores, there is nothing this handy device won't do. It clips wayward stems, slices twine, eats through burlap bags, and even cuts wire. Plus, it is ultra-light, corrosion-resistant, and incredibly durable. And it lives happily in a sheath on your belt, waiting anxiously for its next chance to chew through a tough job. (Want to make a gardener love you? Give him or her one of these!)

Customer Reviews

The blades are very sharp and they work very well.
Joanne S.
I do use the sheath because the outside blade is very sharp, but it also makes it easy to keep with me roaming around the garden.
Pamela T.
They are great for the small cuttings you need when picking flowers or trimming small plants.

I purchased the Fiskars 9921 Softouch Micro-Tip Pruning Snip from Amazon mainly to trim delicate seedlings. I use them just about every single day to trim my tomato plants and they have worked very well and remain razor sharp. Needing something a little more heavy duty the Multi appeared perfect for the job of trimming my slightly larger plants. Unfortunately none of the big name hardware stores sell these or anything remotely comparable in build quality.

Like the Micro these are very well made and should last a very long time depending on use. The sheath is a bit large but it's handy to have especially for safety during storage. These do not include a removable protective tip like the Micro comes with. Also the lock on these is much stronger which is a good safety feature considering the blade on the outside edge. Overall these are great for trimming all types of soft stem plants such as roses, tomato's or leafy vegetables. As for trimming hard stemmed plants and hedges the bypass pruners would be a better choice.

The small black spring between the two handles started to rust and creak within a month! The spring appears to be just painted. This is despite being stored in a dry location and being dried before storage. Suggest you lubricate the spring immediately upon purchase. Other than that, the product is excellent!

We purchased this item after our excellent experience with the Fiskars 9921 Softouch Micro-Tip Pruning Snip. The micro-snips are great for delicate work, such as harvesting small, tightly spaced peppers.

The multi-snips are just as sharp as the micro-snips... VERY sharp. They are also slightly larger and more heavy-duty. The multi-snips are great for cutting small branches, removing dead flowers, slicing through plastic, etc, and complement the micro-snips very well.

Unfortunately, the locking mechanism (the big, round orange circle in the middle) on our multi-snips self-engages. This is very, very annoying. It appears that the lock control is too loose. To prevent the locking mechanism from engaging, we have to be careful not squeeze the snips too much. However, this is easier said than done because it is necessary to squeeze the snips in order to cut anything.

These fit my hand perfectly and have a great spring action which helps if you have arthritis. Not too big, nor too small. And they're very sharp! Perfect way to start summer in the garden.

This tool is awesome enough to give as a small gift to anyone. I bought mine in a bargin bin at the end of the summer, so I didn't know how great it is until this spring when I started using it. Now I am buying it for everyone who deserves a small gift. I particularly liked it when I was potting plants. The knife edge is great for the plastic dirt and compost bags, the point of the clipper is great for lightly loosening the root ball at the bottom of the container. I love it. You will, too.

I have used these more as a multi-purpose scissor than as a garden snip. They seem to cut just about anything. They do need to be kept in the sheath because they are sharp pointed and on the sides. I like them so much I plan to buy another pair or two for me and I will even be giving these as gifts.

Wonderful light and makes your gardening chores easy. The spring-load shears are wonderful and easy to use. I snipped purposely the sheath cover so that I could insert the blades inside the sheath and not have them pointing out - seemed like an odd design. But besides that, so far for several weeks now, these have proved themselves to be a welcomed addition to my garden tools.

No complaints except the mold covered sheath inside the packaging. Amazon did offer to replace but with a possible 1 month wait for restocking. I soaked the sheath with dish soap and the mold washed off fairly easy.
