5.0 out of 5 stars Welcome to town!, January 31, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Fission Romance The West (Audio CD)
I saw this band last night in their Seattle debut at The Paradox, and they were great! Vocals were sounding and the lyrics drove home experiences I think we've all had (and grappled with). Their current sound is a little more driving with resounding bass and a grooving drummer since this recording was burned, but the CD is very good. Very unassuming band with no pretense. They sound good, and are very humble with a strong talent.

Also saw Unbunny at the Paradox. Jared, accompanied by former New Hampshire transplant Dave DuPuis, offered vocals that challenged the talents of Neil Young backed by music which reminded me of the power and joy of live music.

BUY THIS ALBUM! SEE THIS BAND! They truly do reward your time with beauty, talent and darn fine music.

Seattle music is not dead. It has just been waiting for UNBUNNY to arrive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wondergroup Unbunny could be the drug of the Next Generation, December 12, 1999

If you like pop with purity, music with meaning, then this is the CD for you. Unbunny writes meticulous pop songs to which you can sing along, but which are never trite. Much like Shakespeare, you get something new from the CD with every listen.

Nonplussed by the trickle of time, 'Fission' lay subterfuge with an mighty escape, only to reside from whence it came. Therein lies the West. As for Romance, que sera, sera.
