A fun collection of 20+ Western stories by various authors (Morton edited the anthology) that range from what one may consider "typical" for the genre -- with gunplay and sheriffs and outlaws -- to about as atypical as one could expect. Quality is pretty high throughout, and it is full of well-drawn characters. A great book to have on hand when you only have 15-20 minutes to read and want to knock out a story. Recommended!

Matthew P Mayo's story `Half a Pig' featured in A Fistful of Legends was a finalist in this year's Western Writers of America Spur Awards.

That's great news for the anthology and great news for Matthew - congratulations, Matthew!

I agree with the review above. I got this book the day it was released and wasn't able to put it down. Kudos to all the talented writers. I specifically enjoyed "Cash Laramie and the Masked Devil" by Edward Grainger. A real page-turner!

I have recently finished this powerful book filled with Western short stories.
I have had the ride of my life. It was definitly a page turner. My favorite
story was by Cody Wells, "Angelo And The Strongbox" it is phenominal!!!
