I was excited to find this for taking my cereal to work. The first day I used it, it worked well. It was hard to get it screwed together tightly so the milk wouldn't leak. The second time I used it, the whole thing came apart in my lunch box. I threw the whole thing away. It wasn't worth the headache of wondering if I would have a mess to clean up. I had better luck putting my milk in a bowl and my cereal in a sandwich bag.

I love this product so much that I had to tell someone about it! I purchased mine from Target last night and used it today. I am one of those people who cannot eat breakfast as soon as they get up so this is PERFECT for me. I used the top container for dry cereal (Kashi..and it fit a lot!) The middle container for my milk and the bottom stored a FULL sized cut up banana. I ate my breakfast 3 hours later and the milk was COLD and I was so happy. My banana was still fresh which made me even happier. I poured the dry cereal into the bananas and added the milk and voila, breakfast was served! The ONLY reason I did not give this 5 stars is the funky spoon. The spoon is located on top and bends in half for storage. It can be used, but it awkard because it does not lock in place. If you can bring your own spoon, I would suggest that. I can also tell you the product is easy to clean. WELL WORTH THE PURCHASE! I even bought one as a gift.

Love this!,

Love this. I eat Yogurt, Berries and Grapenuts at about 8:30 every morning. I start work at 6:30 so I take it with me. The grapenuts go in the bottom, the yogurt in the cup and the frozen berries on the top tray. By the time I'm ready to eat the berries are thawed just enough, the grapenuts are still crunchy and I'm ready to go! The spoon provided is a waste of time however. I keep one in my desk.Breakfast on the Go

Awesome 'On-the-Go' Kit,

I noticed that there are quite a few earlier(2008 thru early 2010) reviews of this product that complain about fittings. I don't know about those reviews because I bought this about a month ago and I have NO complaints about this breakfast kit. There is nothing wrong with mine. I take mine to work 5-6 days a week.Every single piece in this kit falls into place just right...... - The blue 'ice ring' slides down perfectly in the clear bowl(the largest bowl of the kit). Personally, I have left my blue ice ring in the freezer anywhere between 5 hours overnight and 48 hours over the weekend. When I take it out in the morning to place in the clear plastic bowl, I have no issues with fittings. -The small clear bowl(where the milk goes)fits perfectly in the ice ring(frozen or non-frozen) hole. The orange lid that covers the clear small bowl secures on tightly and the milk NEVER leaks or spills. I have even tested spills by turning the whole kit upside down and shaking it...still NO leakage or spills. -The top orange bowl(where the cereal goes) twists on perfectly and stays securely to the bottom clear bowl(where the fruit and the ice ring goes). The orange lid that covers it snaps on and stays on. Again, I turned the whole kit upside down and shook it. NOTHING falls apart. -The spoon snaps into place perfectly on the orange lid. This kit is compact and helps control food portion sizes. I find this product very convenient to take on the go. I don't have to worry about putting any milk cartons or other breakfast food in the small refrigerator at work. I also purchased a Fit & Fresh lunch kit that I have no problems with.

I bought this product last year and have been very happy with it. I prepare it the night before and it is ready to go into my lunch bag in the morning. The trick to the milk top is to sit the container on a flat surface, add your milk then place the top flat on top and press it down firmly all around the top. To open it later, sit it flat again and while holding the bottom, pop the top using the lip that protrudes on the side using your other hand. I read some people say the top didn't stay on but i think it is because they didn't take the time to press it down firmly. I have had NO problems and it has never popped open. The spoon works fine for me also. Just take your time to lock it in place. Mine is used for cereal at least 2 days out of the week. All my coworkers were facinated with it and went looking for their own and i actually purchased one for my pregnant coworker who used it for her daily yogurt, fruit and granola cravings. I will continue to recommend this product because I am very happy with it.

Great idea, but needs a few tweaks,
By Elaine (Reno, NV, USA) - See all my reviews

I really love the idea, but there's not enough room for one cup of cereal (unless maybe it's something in small bits like Grape Nuts), and there's too much room for half a cup of milk. The spoon is a little bit funky but certainly easy enough to use and wash. I also find it a little difficult screwing the top bowl off of the bottom bowl -- the threads are a little bit wonky or something. And, it doesn't quite fit together right if you want to forego the ice pack -- the ice packs are pretty essential in the two Fit 'n Fresh containers I got. That said, I still really love cereal with slices of banana, and my few complaints still don't prevent me from using it now and again!

Great for cereal lovers!,

I purchased one of these, a bit wary after reading some of the reviews; being a cereal lover, I had to give it a try though. I have had many mishaps with other "watertight" seals- ending up with nasty spills, warm milk, and other messes in an attempt to take my cereal with me.This worked out great! The ice ring kept the milk cold, my fruit fresh, and the set up kept everything in place- no spills! The spoon does lock, you just open it, and push the two parts together when they are straight. Works like a charm! To avoid issues, I freeze the entire contraption in the freezer. This helps it to keep it's shape beautifully, and ensures the pieces will fit with ease. My only warning is to be careful as this is a hard plastic and can break easily when frozen. I learned this the hard way, but am quite willing to get another because this one con outweighs the benefits!

Wish it worked...,

I got this a couple of years ago at Target and I'm sad to see that the flaws have not been fixed. I have a 45 minute commute so I have to get up extra early (which doesn't always happen) so it's nice to have the option to just pack my cereal and get on my way faster.Well, I have been pretty disappointed with this product. I had to write this review after I got so frustrated this morning about it. As other reviewers say, the lid doesn't fit properly onto the milk cup, so I spend 3-5 minutes trying to clip it on right (while getting milk everywhere). You'd think since they knew liquid was going in the cup, they'd make it seal a lot easier and better. Then I spend another few minutes trying to get the top screwed on right.. no matter how hard you try, it just doesn't go on right. When I get to work and fold open the spoon, it doesn't stay opened so you have to hold it a certain way to get it to work right. With the 7-10 minutes I spend trying to get the product together, I might as well have just eaten breakfast at home and saved myself the trouble. However it is still such a convenience that I do TRY to use the product, all the while wondering during my drive if milk and cereal are getting everywhere... If a product came out like this that actually worked, I would ditch this thing in a second. 1 star for the actual product, 2 stars for having a good idea...

Needs more improvement . . .,
By SFMomOf2 (San Francisco, CA USA) - See all my reviews

I purchased this item at Target, but will return it. It's marked dishwasher safe (top rack), and ran it before using. True to many other reviews, the plastic isn't top-grade and warped enough that the lids do not fit the containers properly. The smaller bowl is labeled "water-resistant," but after washing, it takes some force to put the lid on and there are still some small leaks. When I stacked the items in order, I discovered that the top container doesn't securely twist onto the bottom bowl and stay put (keep twisting slightly and it'll just come off again). It's a great concept and I would probably purchase this again when they use better plastic and iron-out the issues with securing the lids and twist tops properly.

Breakfast at Work Without Going Broke,
By
This review is from: Breakfast on the Go 1 Kit (Health and Beauty)
As a 22 year old on my first 9-5, I've found that an office job means gaining weight. It's hard to eat sensibly at work, and eating out everyday really adds up. My boyfriend bought me this fit&fresh tupperware and I just love it! It keeps milk cold and fruit fresh just as it promises. I wish the cup for the milk was just a little bigger, but the fruit and cereal size are perfect. Closes very tight and I've never had problems with anything leaking in my bag. Washes well. I do agree with the reviewer who commented on the lousy spoon. Really a brilliant idea and definitely worth the money.
