Great Idea...poor execution,

I bought this and really like the concept. Both storage sections are a good size for containing a healthy amount of cereal, fruit, and milk. The built in spoon is very sturdy, unlike some others. The problem is the execution of the concept, particularly the ice ring. Most liquids expand when they are frozen, as is the case with this ring. When that happens either one of two things happen; the hole narrows too much and you cannot put the small milk container in it (not as often), or it pushes the sides of the lower "fruit" container out just enough that you cannot screw it and the top "cereal" container together (which of course defeats the purpose of this whole thing). I have tried talking to Fit & Fresh about this and at best they offer to send me another cooling ring (which does the same thing, those nasty laws of physics). Really all they need to do is make the overall diameter of the ring smaller and the diameter of the hole bigger. I am not an engineer, but I am sure it would not be that difficult to refine the design.

I have bought several fit n' fresh products, so I am no stranger to the brand.Pros: The breakfast chiller does everything promised. It is environmentally friendly what with you only having to bring and use one container for your breakfast/fruit/milk. The plastic level is marked in oz/cups so you know just how much you have inside the container. You can easily haul your cereal and your fruit in one container and the ice ring does keep your food stuffs cool. I tested mine by leaving it on my desk with the frozen ice ring inside, and my milk was still at fridge temperature even after 5 hours. Having the spoon built into the lid also makes it very practical because not only are you cutting out environmental waste, you basically never have to search for a spoon for your cereal with it in place. The container is air tight. I filled the inner with milk, turned it over a couple of times over the sink and not a drop was spilled. The same goes for the entire container once screwed into place, it stays together rather well. Cons: Major con was the ice ring/milk fruit combination. Once you put the ice ring inside the plastic layer, the space in the bottom plastic container becomes extremely limited. I had to reduce the ammount of fruit I put inside of it by half to get it all to fit. You also have to take into consideration that the inner milk container takes up considerable space as well, so a good idea would be to put your fruit in the top orange level and your cereal in the plastic level to get the best use out of it. Also it is kind of bulky. Not annoyingly so, but it does take up a bit of your space. Overall, I am still pleased with the product, and as I've said, I've bought several of their products before.

i bought this at a local store..i've been wanting something like this for awhile because i take cereal to work due to time restraints pre-work. i used it once and returned it same day after work. first, i hand washed it before using it, so it was not the dishwasher to ruin it.... problem 1) top lid (w/spoon) did not securely fit on and wouldnt close so put cereal in very bottom layer instead. 2) hard to close second lid (large orange one) that goes directly over ice ring. 3) milk container didnt fit with ring and cereal in bottom..so i just used bottom part w/ cereal, put ice ring back in freezer, and closed cereal with large orange lid and then set the container on the top in the little grove where the top lid would have been, grabbed the spoon and left. now i have only a 7 min drive to work luckily and the bowl sat level on my car seat then went into fridge until i had a moment to eat...here comes problem 4) where i had set the milk..there was some dampness because the milk container does not close securely and left a milk ring on cereal lid.then i went to pour it and leaked everywhere including my work pants! so back to using a secure closing travel mug and bag of cereal again! i am going to give another brand ive seen a try.. 2115|R1KMSR3SNMI9IT;2115|R1SX7V80EDC8N9;2115|R1YLET3HVZU6LB;
