There is no customization at all except for how loud the music is and the trainer's voice. You type your name, weight, and age and that's it. You're in the game. There's no tutorial. You just pick a fitness goal for the workout. It doesn't ask what equipment you have.

After picking a fitness goal, It indicates how many points you need in each of the six areas - upper body, balance, lower body, card, core, flexibility to meet that goal. Then you start selecting little workouts. You have to page through groups of exercises and then find some that have points in the areas you need to complete your fitness goal. You have no idea what is going to be in that exercise group - there's just a picture and two or three world description and the various points you'll get for completing it. One segment that I did had stretching exercise at the end of the segment. One kickboxing segment was very high impact. One core segment had you put you leg in the air and flex and straighten you foot and then do this strange version of pilates 100s but you didnt count out 100, then the two exercises were repeated. There is very little instruction on how to do the moves.

The camera only shows you doing the exercise. It doesn't monitor you. You can sit still and it will not notice. The rest of the screen is just the trainer (you can't select anyone) on a wooden looking platform in various locations.

There is a little bar graph on the bottom left of the display that has varying heights of tick marks to indicate intensity. So you can get an idea of how hard your going to work.

Also there is a countdown clock so you know how much longer is left in the segment.

And there is a blue bar that indicates how much longer for each particular exercise.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great variety of exercises May 23, 2011
Platform for Display:Nintendo Wii| Edition:Camera Bundle|Verified Purchase
Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Having used Ubisoft's My Fitness Coach for the past two years, I have been looking for a similar exercise program that would supplement and extend that game, Fit in Six turned out to be a great extension of the same type of program. Like Coach, it offers short segments that emphasize 6 different types of training. Instead of giving you an alternating series of upper body, core, lower body and balance, the game has you pick a goal and then earn points in two of the areas to achieve that goal. Although i miss the flow of a solid 45-75 minutes of exercise the modular nature makes it easy to fine tune the intensity as you do the workout. I have found most of the exercises fun and challenging and a great addition to my daily routine. My advice, buy this game, but don't waste your money on the camera, the quality is so poor, you look like a poorly drawn cartoon and I find the picture in picture presentation more of a distraction than an incentive.

4.0 out of 5 stars A combination of p90x and Zumba-like exercises September 24, 2011
By M
Platform for Display:Nintendo Wii|Edition:Camera Bundle
Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
I bought this on sale from Target. I really didn't need it because I have lots of exercises videos and games such as Windsor Pilates, Kathy Smith's Project You, Tony Horton's P90x, Wii FIt, Wii Fit Plus, Zumba. I don't have the EA sports so I cannot make that comparison. I compare Fit in Six to a mix between P90x and Zumba-like exercises. I was impressed with the format with the ability for you to pick and choose what types of workouts you want to do. For instance you can mix cardio, flexibility, upper, core and lower body strength as well as a boot camp selection and different dance routines. I've only did it for about 30 minutes but it was impressive enough for me to write this review. The camera is only for viewing yourself, there is no feedback involved besides making my arse look smaller in its tiny window. And that's fine with me because I don't have a mirror next to my wii. I like watching my form vs. the sensor type games which only reinforces how bad I am at following it's command. For myself, I am more apt to keep exercising even though I might not be putting out an athletic performance. From my perspective just doing some exercise everyday is better than putting on a stellar computer graded A+. I gave it four stars because I was lost trying to figure out what it wanted me to do in the beginning and how to navigate the menus.

4.0 out of 5 stars good workout March 28, 2011

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Our company is doing a wellness initiative this year and I thought this would be a good addition for stretching and just some general exercise in addition to my 10,000+ steps per day. I've only done a couple of workouts but absolutely love the exercises. I've done the "beach" workout (get ready for a bikini) and was sore the next day. Because you are using a camera for feedback you don't have an avatar but you get more accurate feedback from the images picked up by the camera. Unlike the EAS series, you don't have to strap on any wii-motes or other devices so they don't slide down your leg when you are trying to run. If you want to work out and really "feel the burn" this one is for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very well designed fitness game! December 29, 2012
Platform for Display:Nintendo Wii| Edition:Camera Bundle|Verified Purchase
I got this game with the camera as there wasn't much difference in price between a game with and without a camera! I was pleasantly surprised by how well the camera works and how useful it is. The design and layout of the game is quite well done as well! Although Wii Walk It Out is still my most used game this one is slowly taking its place and offers a more balance workout!
