Product Description

FitDeck is a unique deck of Exercise Playing Cards that makes exercise more simple, convenient, and fun. FitDecks are available in 56-card and 26-card Booster decks. 56-card FitDecks specialize in bodyweight-only exercises. 26-card Boosters may require certain equipment (i.e. Exercise Ball, Pull Up bar, Dumbbell, Balance Dome, Kettlebell, etc.). Boosters can be used as a standalone workout or they can be combined with other FitDecks to create an even more challenging routine. Each card has three fitness levels to accommodate different abilities (beginner, intermediate, advanced). Cards are held in a plastic cardholder making it easy to carry and draw cards while on the go.

As a 48 year old, relatively fit, Marine who enjoys vigorous exercise, I've used a variety of products to include the much publicized - and terrific BTW - P90X. These cards are terrific for those who want a challenging, adaptable, scalable, and portable work-out.

My wife and I frequently work out together and use a combination of the FitDeck Body Weight cards augmented with a variety of Booster packs. They allow for varying fitness levels and can be scaled up or down depending on how motivated we are. It's a great way to stay in shape together.

I also travel frequently and they've proven both compact and durable. Another reviewer mentioned the small text and I concur that the specific exercise directions contained on the cards is challenging on older eyes, especially while active. Nevertheless, a few extra moments focusing on the directions which are both few and simple result in rare references to them during subsequent work-outs. I highly recommend FitDeck.

This deck of "playing cards" is fantastic. If you're like me, you're out of shape and there is no way you're going to pay the monthly fees of most exercise gyms. I got a (relatively cheap) yearly pass for centers at the city (exercise, pool, skateboard, basketball, etc.), but I ended up stopping most of that too. This deck of cards is great. Now, I can exercise all areas of my body at my pace and at home or away. No regimented set of exercises because I can change randomly and still get good workouts. I highly recommend this.

This is a well made product, will hold up well after examining the makeup of the cards.
As for the content, those starting out with exercise will definitely benefit.
There is good instruction and the illustrations are rather clear.
The downside is for the regular, more advanced exerciser. I felt that there were bodyweight exercises that could have been included but were left out. There also seemed to be small variations on some exercises, such as pushups, that overall i find redundant. Some body exercises seemed to be included to just give the user a rest such as arm rotations. Cards like these I just removed.
If you go to the FitDeck website, there are suggestions on how to make these decks even more difficult and i enjoy the bit of flogging that these suggestions impart.
I would only suggest that the makers get rid of the skip next card in the deck and insert more double or repeat cards.
For the buyer, i also got the kettlebell and dumbell cards. For those without a kettlebell, you really dont need one except for a few moves such as the swing and catch. I mix all 3 decks together and work myself through all 3 for a good workout.

Good little product. You can definitely get a great workout with this and has a lot of exercises you might not think about immediately. I carry it on my runs and stop every so often and pull the top card off. It has three levels of exercises with a corrosponding number to them. So for instance, beginner body weight squat might have like 9 and intermediate might have like 15 and advanced might have like 25. That way if your in better shape you would use the advanced numbers and if your weak or just getting started you would use the beginner numbers.

If you think you cant get in shape with out using weights think again. Im a cop and did a tour of San Quentin State Prison about a year ago. They have no weights and each prisoner is jacked doing only body weight exercises.

The fitdeck cards are awesome and a great workout for those who like being gymless or looking to add to their current workout. The exercises are explained very well and can be put in any order. I am ordering more for home, work and friends. The bodyweight training is the next big craze due to getting functional strength and strength endurance. These exercises have worked for the military for years so why not your average civilian. You can't go wrong with fitdeck.

The only trouble I've ever had with workouts was planning them. The execution was no problem. With these cards, that problem is history. I can plan my workouts. I do the P.A.C.E. program and the 4.3.2.1 program. These are HIT intervals. In the 4.3.2.1 I have to move quickly from one exercise to the next. I can easily do it with the help of the Fitdeck.

I use the bodyweight deck plus the rubber resistance pack and mix them according to what I want to do in the next workout.

There is also a useful card with stretches for both upper and lower body. This is very useful as I end each workout with stretching the muscles I just worked. There's also a card for a short breather --- let's you grab some water. There should be a few more of those in the deck when you do intervals. But I don't really need a card to tell me. I appreciate the fact that each cards gives excellent descriptions of the exercise and good instructions. It also indicates how many reps you should do --- according to your fitness level.

Now, let the record show that the Fitdeck says it's for people up to age fifty five. I ask you, does life end at fifty five? I think not. I'm a few moons older than that and I can do the military pak and the Navy Seals pak. So, dah. If you want to do it granny, get going. Ain't no one going to tell me I can't do anything just because I am over fifty five.

That said, there is a pack for seniors. When I'm a senior, I'll review them. Until then, I highly recommend this great product.
