5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic
This deck of "playing cards" is fantastic. If you're like me, you're out of shape and there is no way you're going to pay the monthly fees of most exercise gyms. I got a (relatively cheap) yearly pass for centers at the city (exercise, pool, skateboard, basketball, etc.), but I ended up stopping most of that too. This deck of cards is great. Now, I can exercise all areas...

3.0 out of 5 stars Good product for starting out
This is a well made product, will hold up well after examining the makeup of the cards.
As for the content, those starting out with exercise will definitely benefit.
There is good instruction and the illustrations are rather clear.

Now, I can exercise all areas of my body at my pace and at home or away. No regimented set of exercises because I can change randomly and still get good workouts. I highly recommend this.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Terrific Fitness Product, October 6, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: FitDeck Bodyweight (Misc.)
As a 48 year old, relatively fit, Marine who enjoys vigorous exercise, I've used a variety of products to include the much publicized - and terrific BTW - P90X. These cards are terrific for those who want a challenging, adaptable, scalable, and portable work-out.

My wife and I frequently work out together and use a combination of the FitDeck Body Weight cards augmented with a variety of Booster packs. They allow for varying fitness levels and can be scaled up or down depending on how motivated we are. It's a great way to stay in shape together.

I also travel frequently and they've proven both compact and durable. Another reviewer mentioned the small text and I concur that the specific exercise directions contained on the cards is challenging on older eyes, especially while active. Nevertheless, a few extra moments focusing on the directions which are both few and simple result in rare references to them during subsequent work-outs. I highly recommend FitDeck.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good product for starting out, September 2, 2010

This is a well made product, will hold up well after examining the makeup of the cards.
As for the content, those starting out with exercise will definitely benefit.
There is good instruction and the illustrations are rather clear.
The downside is for the regular, more advanced exerciser. I felt that there were bodyweight exercises that could have been included but were left out. There also seemed to be small variations on some exercises, such as pushups, that overall i find redundant. Some body exercises seemed to be included to just give the user a rest such as arm rotations. Cards like these I just removed.
If you go to the FitDeck website, there are suggestions on how to make these decks even more difficult and i enjoy the bit of flogging that these suggestions impart.
I would only suggest that the makers get rid of the skip next card in the deck and insert more double or repeat cards.
For the buyer, i also got the kettlebell and dumbell cards. For those without a kettlebell, you really dont need one except for a few moves such as the swing and catch. I mix all 3 decks together and work myself through all 3 for a good workout.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fitdeck Rocks, June 4, 2007
The fitdeck cards are awesome and a great workout for those who like being gymless or looking to add to their current workout. The exercises are explained very well and can be put in any order. I am ordering more for home, work and friends. The bodyweight training is the next big craze due to getting functional strength and strength endurance. These exercises have worked for the military for years so why not your average civilian. You can't go wrong with fitdeck.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for quick workouts on the road, January 18, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

I travel a ton and the FitDeck is super convenient - just throw it in your bag and reserve 20 minutes/night for a workout. Now you can stay fit on the road, just pick the amount of minutes you want to work out, then pull that many cards.

I typically do the "Advanced" version, which really gets my blood pumping, but they also include "beginner" and "intermediate" on each card, so you can vary your workout to match your fitness level.

Look for my review of FitDeck Navy SEAL (Booster) soon, I bought that one as well to amp up the intensity of my fitdeck.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely excelent, March 27, 2009

After injuring my back jumping rope, I was looking for a low impact exercise I could do at home. Someone recommended FitDeck, and I must say, I'm thrilled.

The only issue I have it that the BodyWeight is not, in my opinion, a complete workout, as there are very few exercises that work on your biceps and upper back muscles. Not FitDeck's fault: it is virtually impossible to exercise these muscles with straight BodyWeight.

To do that you need to add another FitDeck, such as the Pull-Up Bar, Resistance Tube, DumbBell or KettleBell. (I personally use the Resistance Tube.)

Having said that, it is a great workout, and keeps me from getting bored.

It's now not only my favorite exercise, but my favorite gift too :)

5.0 out of 5 stars fabulous fitdeck, December 8, 2008
This review is from: FitDeck Bodyweight (Misc.)
Its so basic, its perfect. I dont need equipment...at all. I run it straight through, mix it up or combine it with other decks, it works if i'm alone in a pair or group, so simple. I use the bodyweight deck religiously, then I mix in the stairs deck and pilates or fitness ball. my wife uses the stretching, yoga and pilates decks on a daily basis. bye, bye gym membership

5.0 out of 5 stars Combining multiple fit decks, December 1, 2008
This review is from: FitDeck Bodyweight (Misc.)
I just got my hands on some new fitdecks. They are awesome. The images are bigger and the bullets are easy to read. There are new joker cards and I love the new variety. Ive been creating workouts by combining the bodyweight deck with stretch and pilates. I love it. Talk about variety. With all these new decks, I'll never be bored again. I highly recommend this inventive idea.

So far I have thoroughly enjoyed my FitDeck Bodyweight deck. I use it to augment and change up my regular work out routine. What is really awesome about these cards is that you essentially get a whole new work out every time you shuffle them. I have been using this product in conjunction with FitDeck Yoga and have had a lot of fun doing so!

5.0 out of 5 stars Exactly what i needed, June 5, 2011

I needed something different for my workouts, i get bored with videos, I don't want to fumble with a book, and I'm not familiar enough with different exercises to do them correctly from memory. Workouts lose their luster quickly with me, so these cards are perfect. I've got several decks, and do a different set every time, and randomly throw in some treadmill sessions. That way I don't get burnt out on any one workout. Great idea, love this product.
