About the Author

Lynne Brick, RN, is an internationally acclaimed fitness expert and is one of the leading aerobics instructors in the world. She has received numerous awards, including the European International Presenter of the Year Award (1994) and the IDEA (International Association of Fitness Professionals) Fitness Instructor of the Year Award (1990). Besides being a registered nurse, Lynne is certified by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America and the American Council on Fitness. Prior to her career in fitness, she practiced nursing for seven years at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, the first shock trauma unit in the country.

Lynne is owner and founder of Brick Bodies Fitness Services, Inc., which owns and operates a chain of health clubs, produces exercise videos, and consults health clubs and fitness professionals. Her Padonia Fitness Center in Baltimore, Maryland, was named by Self magazine two years in a row as one of the top 25 clubs in the United States. Her club, Lynne Brick’s Women’s Health and Fitness in Owings Mills, Maryland, was named one of the top four women’s clubs in the country by The Club Insider Magazine.

Lynne is featured in more than a dozen exercise videos, including Buns of Steel 6, How to Teach Aerobics, Power Stepping, Power Stepping II, and Lynne Brick’s Total Body Workout. Her Brick Body line of videos includes Brick Buns, Brick Abs, Brick Hips and Thighs, and Brick Upper Body. She is also the author of several books, including Consumer Guide's Step into Shape.

Lynne travels worldwide training aerobics instructors and has conducted workshops and training in more than 23 countries. She lives in Timonium, Maryland, with her husband, Victor, their two children, Vicki and Jonathon, and their dog, Cleo.
