This small book easily fits in your desk, so you can pull it out anytime and find an exercise or two to do at your desk or in your office or cubicle. The 69 assorted exercises have quirky names, such as #43: "where's my chair? ab, back, and thigh toner." Each exercise offers variations to make it easier or harder, depending on your current fitness level.
There's a list of how many calories the exercise burns in one minute, and how many calories you will burn in one week and one year if you keep up the work. This is not meant to be a high-energy workout, but some quick things to do to keep stress down and burn a calorie or two. I gave it 4 stars; for 5 stars, I would like to see a list of "routines" for specific trouble-spots or injuries. These are quick exercises that won't get you all sweated up, but may contribute to your overall fitness plan. Additionally, they make you aware of your body and where you store your stress.

Shirley has created a book with stretching exercises for those of us glued to a chair or computer all day. I personally forget to move and if I find myself in a bit of pain, I look in the book for the exercise for that area. All it takes is a bit of movement; aches and pains from inertia can be avoided. The book paid for itself in one missed chiropractic or doctor visit.

A fun way to fit a little fitness into a hectic work day... the exercises are easy to follow, and they feel great to do. I think it's a clever gift for people who spend a lot of time at a desk but would rather be outside and active.
