If you've ever found yourself traveling and ended up in a hotel "fitness center" with one treadmill and a semifunctioning multistation exercise machine, you'll understand the purpose of this book, subtitled "Where to Work Out When You're on the Road." This guide is so comprehensive it even, in some cases, tells you how heavy you can go with the iron in a hotel gym. (A hotel may boast that it has "free weights" when the dumbbells only go up to 20 pounds.) Best of all, though, it points you to good gyms in 45 U.S. cities at which you can pay a day rate to work out.
