Product Description

Take your push-ups to the next level with this pair of Inred push-up stands. No other exercise, outside of weight training, builds and tones the chest and triceps muscles more efficiently than push-ups. Perfectly designed for push-ups and stretching, these stands will improve not only the strength of your upper body, but your legs and stomach as well. The foam covered handle grips provide comfort through multiple exercises, and the non-slip feet provide safety and security. The slightly angled design aids in proper alignment, while the ability to lower your body between the bars helps to increase flexibility. I wanted to buy the harbinger ones, but the fact that they were made of plastic got me thinking, I'm the kind of guy who reads a lot of reviews before making a purchase, and reviewers said that the harbingers were not that good for heavy guys, I'm a 240 pounds guy, so those weren't for me, I went looking for ones that were made of metal, I was about to buy the Reebok ones sold by target, I went to a local Target to actually see them, they seemed pretty good, but I felt the handles a bit uncomfortable, saw this ones with no reviews, but looked made of metal and sturdy, so I looked for another products from Amber, to check reviews, they were good, so I went ahead and bought them.

Did some push-ups to test them and they seem to hold my weight without any problems, handles are good, but not the best, they are easy to assemble, no need for a screwdriver, got them ready in 2 minutes.

I couldn't find any actual pictures of the bars, so I uploaded some, if anyone needs them.

First of all about me: I'm a former gym rat that used to be in commercial gyms for 15 yrs an avg of 4x per week. 3 yrs ago I quit the gym (and the PIA crowd) and built my own gym at home. My gym is bodyweight based and I do 3 strength/conditioning and 3 cardio workouts per week.

I work on a computer all day so I can have varying degrees of CTS in my wrist which makes pushups painful at times. I also wanted a pushup bar that allowed me to put my hands in varying rotated positions. I didn't need the silly (to me) 'perfect pushup'. Really people, do you think your muscles know the difference? It's only resistance. Cheap pushup bars will build the same body as $50 bars.

These are a good basic set. Nothing fancy. They have been steady for me, no issues whatsoever and they get a lot of use. Only minor gripe is the foam could be thicker but hey they are cheap. I can do wide grip without having these fall over. I've made a fair amount of my own exercise equipment so I tend to look a little deeper into equipment than others. I have no regrets about buying these.

Do not buy these, as the welds holding together the bar and the support are not well done. I used these bars for only two workouts, and the weld has given out on one of the bars making it unusable. I will try and do what I can to fix it with tape and glue, but may have to wait until I can have a friend try and weld the pieces back together again. These things are definetly not well built considering I only weigh 170 lbs.! Please choose another model/vendor to save yourself time and money.

When I saw the others in how cheap and flimsy they are I started looking for something more durable. I really like these and I could not find anything as nice as these. The pad in the middle could be a little firmer, but if it ends up needing replacement after a few years, it would be extremely easy. I am sure others will like these too for they are easy to assemble and extremely firm being metal.

If you need to save money, the Amber Sporting Goods Training Push Up Bars will work but I decided to buy another set that were about $5 more (still waiting on them to arrive, I'll post a review when I see how they do). These are just okay, they are cheaply welded and I doubt they hold up as my muscle mass increases. Anyway, I just got an eBook about push ups and I'm not even sure I want to use bars for them any longer, the more I read, but still I'd like to have a reliable set that will last a while and that have more padding than these do.

These push-up bars assembled easily enough. After testing for about 30 push-ups, the horizontal base bar just fell apart. On further investigation, I realized that it was the internal tack welding that gave way. The unfortunate circumstances are that I purchased these metal push-up bars for the piece of mind that they would support my 210 pound body mass without failure and I had this shipped outside of the US so returning it would cost more than the item itself. I'm really disappointed.

These push-up bars work fine, at first they felt a little light but I haven't had any issues with them from any angle of push-ups. They are light and come apart so when I travel I can easily throw them in my suitcase.
