My 11-year old enjoyed all the books in the series. Finished them all in very quick time. Now his younger sister has got her teeth into them after hearing him rave about the books. For any parents out there trying to get their children to read over the summer, this series would be a good choice. This review is for all the books in the series.

Encourages non-readers to read,

My son has been diagnosed with a slight attention disorder. Unfortunately, that has resulted in a lack of desire to read. This series was a breath of fresh air that really turned my son around. What he liked most about this series was the different perspectives told throughout. I am happy to report that my son read all seven books and is anxiously awaiting another in the series.
This series encourage my son to read more books. Because of this series and the interest it captured, his reading grade went from a failing grade to an A in his accelerated reading. So thank you very much for creating an interesting martial art's world that snagged my 12-year old son by the collar and turned him around. You really need to write more in the series because my son truly enjoys the world you have created! From the bottom of this mother's heart, thank you for your ability to tap into the mind of a child and encourage them to keep turning the page.

We purchased the first of these books at a book fair based on a school mates recommendation. Our two sons, 8 & 9, absolutely loved them. After reading the first we bought the whole series. Highly recommend.

My middle schooler loves this series of books! He and his friends all compare which book they currently have finished. The adventure get told a little in each book from the point of view of this book's main character. Some overlap between books so it's important to read them in order!
