5.0 out of 5 stars They Are AMAAAAAAZING, May 2, 2007
This review is from: Five in the Black (1 CD + 1 DVD Version) (Audio CD)
DBSK (or Tohoshinki, as they are known in Japan) is a Korean group that has quite rightly reached huge success in Asia. And they deserve it. This is their second Japanese album (their first was "Heart, Mind, and Soul"--also and excellent album!!) and you can tell their Japanese has improved and they sing their lyrics with more conviction and feeling. This is one of the few boybands in which ALL the members can actually sing really well. (And they can all dance well, too.)

"Five In The Black" has a TON of great songs, with good variety. A lot of them actually defy desciption. Here are my favorites, although like I said, all of the songs are excellent and I can listen to this album without having to skip any.

- Included is their huge Korean hit "O", which they sing in Japanese here. It sounds just as awesome. Very catchy dance song; great vocals!

- "Choosey Lover" - oh my god, this song is so catchy...

- "I'll Be There" - beauuuuutiful ballad; great harmonization

- "Step By Step" - great feel-good song, bouncy and catchy

- "Begin" - another beautiful ballad...they get to show off their amazing vocals in this one.

Believe the hype...this is a group that really deserves their success. They're all such young, talented boys, and I believe and hope they'll be sticking around for a long time.

Easily 5/5.

This is the best full CD from TVXQ thus far. It amazes me how much they have grown from "Hug". If you are a fan you will not be disappointed, if you are interested in getting into something different, pick this one up.

5.0 out of 5 stars Definately 5 star., May 12, 2007
This review is from: Five in the Black (1 CD + 1 DVD Version) (Audio CD)
Tohoshinki never seem to fail to impress their fans. Their CD contains various genres - upbeat and ballas. The thing is that each of their songs have meanings to it. Their voices are impressive and I'm sure fans would love this. Definately a 5 star.

5.0 out of 5 stars job well done, April 4, 2008

its very rare that i buy not one but two cds from a group that i just heard of. But i did with DBSK. Tri-Angle being the other that i purchased.

It goes without saying that DBSK is a talented singing group and very successful. But as far as this cd Five in The Black goes well i couldnt find a song on this cd that i would even think about skipping. 13 tracks of all different types and tempos. The guys vocals are stronger on this cd and noticable again is their improved English as well. Again this one of those purchases that i really wouldnt do. But something about DBSK got me interested.

Songs of Note:

Zion

Sky

Begin

Choosey Lover

Miss You (upbeat, funky beat to it)

O (another one with a nice beat to it and vocals are rocking)

I'll Be There (slow song sung with passion & feeling)

Step By Step

Hello Again (closes out another excellent effort from DBSK)

I look forward to their future releases and plan on purchasing whatever else they have available very soon. Very worthy of your attention and an investment in music that i doubt you'll regret.
