I have been searching for a set of translations of these Five Classic Books and thought that with a title like The Five "Confucian" Classics, this would be exactly what I needed. Unfortunately, this book does not contain a translation of the actual classics, just commentary on them.
Unfortunately, since this book was so expensive, I bought the kindle version to try and save a little money and now I can't return it. I feel a bit cheated and would only recommend this book to people who are looking for a scholarly analysis of the Classics, not the Classics themselves. |
