The dresser is beautiful and of high quality, which is reflected in the price. That said, the high cost is likely to be offset by years of use as it will easily fit in both a baby and young child's room.
The shipping, however, was a bit of a pain. Once it ships, you deal with the shipping company and not Amazon. In this case, Eagle Worldwide (I believe). They were courteous on the phone, but the delivery guys complained about having to carry it up the stairs. For $170, I don't want to hear that. Furthermore, I notice one of the drawers had a scratch. I spoke with Amazon about this and they were very quick to refund the entire shipping charge. I accepted this as I felt it was fair and also could not deal with shipping back such a large item. All in all, a very good dresser, but logistically difficult to return should you have any issues with damage.

We bought this furniture two years ago, along with the matching nightstand, changing dresser and hutch. LOVE IT!
- The natural color is beautiful. - the drawers slide smoothly, and have a stop to them about half an inch before closing. - Beautiful shape and design. - the finish is very smooth, not sticky or rough like some others I'd seen. I feel it's worth the money. As far as the "stinky" comment from another customer, ours smelled like new wood furniture to me, nothing strong like varnish, guess they had bad luck.

We bought simmons dressers and a crib for our son and the quality is outstanding! It is a beautiful furniture set!
